Most indigenous people were wiped out by the disease that came with european immigration. Europeans were more resistant to disease at the time due to the stagnation of small pox which never subsided as well as black plauge which wiped out 75 million people 3/4 of the population in the british isles and 1/3 of europe all together. Small pox had already taken the largest part of its tole on Native peoples by that point and not by deliberate effort but just through contact alone. Most of the Natives who died of the disease died by the accident and ignorance of both cultures not by ill will.
