  • Sweet didn't think they had a live set for this song & its one of my favorites the beat is uncanny.

  • Yuki sounds super tired, heehee. I think he sang this one a lot better on the album version. Not that it matters much, the song is 90% instrumental.

  • And Peter Barakan turned out to be the main interpreter for Japan the band and their individual members too. Talking about intertwined interests....

  • man i love the old school synth sound.

  • Best electronic jam of 1981. I think it beats "Numbers" by Kraftwerk, "Shari Vari" and "The Planet Doesn't Mind" (other records of that same time)

  • I see where you're coming from and I respect your opinion, but I like X Visitors "The Planet Doesn't Mind" better than this. It was a hard choice for me! But these tunes beat any of the new crap today! :)

  • I meant the 1980 version of "Planet Doesn't Mind" by New Musik......But yes, the early 80's was a golden age for many styles. These guys were painting with oils, the artists now are simply using crayons.....

  • EXELLENT

  • doomy...

  • wtf?

  • ウィンターライブは他のライブと違って、かなり印象が違うライブだ。このライブには暗さと寂しさがある。ウィンターライブのステージが美しいと思えるのは日本人独特の感性と言えよう。

  • YMO is YMO forever

    Haruomi Hosono

    Sakamoto Ryuichi

    Yukihiro Takahasi

    thx

  • B.G.M. (background music) is by far the best album by YMO,heavily influenced by Brian Eno's theories of Ambient Music. The production is so ahead of his time.

Yukihiro Takahashi solo album 'Neuromantic'is awesome too.Worth a listen!

  • BGM - what a great album! Highly original, strong songwriting, well mixed and produced. One of my favourite electronic / synth albums.

Other greats, IMHO, include Mirage and Body Love Volume II by Klaus Schulze, Rubicon by Tangerine Dream, The Man Machine and Trans Europe Express by Kraftwerk, Oxygene by Jean Michel Jarre, and Yellow Magic Orchestra (US release) by, again, YMO.

  • another excellent track from the album BGM! To hear this live...ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh rapture! The Lighting rocks and the music-again, oohhhh rapture! non believers should listen to the studio version first and then come back to this and revel in the sensuality that is camouflage
