M113 sucks completeky to BMP-3/BMD-4 with their 100mm gun capable to fire ATGM and antipersonel rounds + 30mm 2A42 autocannon + x3 PKT 7,62mm or 1 PKT + x2 40mm AGS-40 grenade launchers mounted on sides

and even to BTR-80 with new turret armed with 2A42 30mm autocannon and AGS-30 automatic grenade launcher

that would probably be the sabot that came off during the first seconds of flight, and DUH..not the shell,the soldier would probably have noticed that...dont forget the 25mm sabot fragments can be lethal.

These are 25mm oerlikon cannons and quite painful even when hit by the round itself. :)

Excelent video! Thanks so much for posting it. Like yous said somewhere here, the marines are all about kicking butt and shooting their rifles. The army is doing much better i think. US troops are using this tactic wherever possible. There are lots of charity programs here in the States for Iraqi children and that kind of stuff. But no one ever sees that because the media doesnt want the rest of the world to know that there are many good things that America and its allies are doing there. Thanks

Saw and earlier U-Tube video where the Canadians were trying to implement the same strategy. It was a fiasco. They made a run into a village a couldn't even find a spark plug.  They deserted the village to the Taliban. Know one knows their fate for assisting the Canadians. I like the use of the M113. But I am not so sure about this political correct war of winning the hearts and minds of people who have a different view of death.
