That's because the songs are easy to copy. Rock Band can steal songs, fix up the solos, put them on their games, and it's legal. They're usually better anyway. Guitar Hero messes with the sound and it's like a totally new song. When I play RB it actually sounds like the original song. Also, GH1 and GH2 were made by the same company. GH3 and forward were bought out before and that's why they're different.
