  • very interesing.

  • excellent vid!

  • Nice one! Let me know how you get on. Pete

  • I got my new redhead. It's doing ~9700rpm. It does seem to have a better climb. But nowhere near my Vittorazi climb rate.

    I weigh ~100kgs.

Still, the redhead will be good for thermal days with the lower wing loading. The Vitt will still be excellent in winter or no lift days for climbing high on power.

  • I used to get 330ft/min climb, now I get 440ft/min. At the weekend I flew over Snowdon and climbed to 4400ft and only used 3.5litres of fuel. With the Redhead I can throttle back after takeoff and still climb at a very reasonable rate. I think the RedHead is definately worth the extra climb rate. Pete

  • So do you think the redhead is worth it.Does it really give your that much more power...Kurt

  • Hi Pete your prop was 135cm but now 45cm shit

  • Yup, gotta save some pennies for a new one :-(

All donations are gratefully received ;-)

  • Hey man nice flight. Is this a new harness for you. Seems to work well

  • looks like way too much fun

  • I'm just waiting for a Tailwind Technologies RedHead that a local guy wants to sell me. If it's a tall lady, that'll be OK as well. I can't wait. What sort of prop do you have Pete?

  • Mmm.. busty RedHead would be nice eh? The prop is a 135cm fixed carbon fibre (doesn't fold). Pete

  • Amazing flight!!!!!! Thanks for posting!!!!!!!!

  • NIIIIIIICE!!!!!!!!

  • Thanks for the vid. Nice. It looks like your climb rate is better than my trike.

  • nice one.

  • hey Pete,

Very impressive climb. VERY! Thanks for posting it. I installed my Redhead last month but still waiting for my first flight. Four inches on snow on the ground means it may be a day or two but seeing your video will make the wait a little easier. You have to be very happy. Thanks again. wes

  • hello,

What do you think about the raket readhead kit now?

    Really,have you found a difference ?

is the same consumption than before?

if you should buy it , would you do it again ?

I am French, and I have flied with a paramotor equipped witha standard raket 120 for 6 years .

  • I removed the RedHead about 6 months ago and reverted to the standard cylinder. My engine overheated and seized. I believe the problem was caused by insufficient cooling on a pull start Raket. The engine cooling fan shroud on an electric start Raket is larger and is further extended with an extra piece supplied with the RedHead kit, there is no fan shroud extension for the pullstart Raket. Sorry for the long explanation.

  • thank you flyingleek for your explanation .One another reason to keep the standard engine by improving exhaust for example .

I am afraid of not being able to maintain this kit ( If I have to replace piston or cylinder later ) . is the supplier will be always here ? .

  • salut ,

as tu monté un red head ?

    tes impressions ?

  • non , je n'ai pas monté de red head
