The part where we're covering the rifle is indeed electrical tape. The part where we're taping the tips and under the bolt with strapping tape NEEDS to be strapping tape or something of similar strength. Electrical tape alone will not be enough.

  • @tiedye4ever oh okay just wondering

  • wait i thought that you were supposed to put clear tape then the electric tape???

  • @ACRAZYLEGSPRODUCTION

if you watch the video, we clearly show which tape goes under which and where. If you wanted to cover the entire rifle in strapping tape I guess you could, but it would be tricky, heavy, and unnecessary.

  • @vampchk20 We paint our rifles all the time... and our instructor knows what she is doing because we are a world guard... lol.

  • @dOrKeLnErD

But the point was that only painting the rifles isn't a substitution for taping them for protective purposes.

  • we saved money and we just painted our rifles white and now the look green

  • @Lover4Lost

Wow if your instructor told you to paint your rifles he must not know what hes doing.

the tape isn't for a nice appearance (which can be but NEVER by being painted)

The tape is used to protect the rife from splitting and chipping of the wood from drops.

  • Life savers!! Thanks!
