This was actually my favorite part in the whole movie. I did'nt really thought it was quite as good as Silence of the Lambs but the Soundtrack was excellent.
Heck I thought Anthony Hopkins did get an Oscar for Hannibal. The supporting cast was stupendous, especially Gary Oldman who played Mason Verger. Gary Oldman is an underrated actor indeed. This was a well crafted movie with Oscar written all over it, but Hollywood never thought so; very sad.

Great scene, like Pazzi feels that it will all go wrong. It shows the ingenuity of Hannibal. He is clearly testing Pazzi's response on his conversation with Allegra. Pazzi is clearly hiding something and Hannibal realises that he knows that Hannibal was a cannibal serial killer.
It is one of my fondest wishes to go to that opera...outside, in a mild climate at night...candles flickering with probably really yummy cheeses and wine? OMG. So beautiful! I wish the entire opera existed and became available on a soundtrack someday...
this is creepy beyond belief. know why? becuz wen pazzi looks at hannibal, he immediately senses it and deosnt even look around, he looks directly at him first.... he is creepy as anything... love it
I love this scene. The way Hannibal stares at Allegra is so creepy. It's like by chance if no one was around and it was just the two of them what would he do to her?
magic of art...in my opinion this movie had been deserved oscar.aspecially its musics are art hit really.its like reading a classical novel.and i think in this movie antony hopkins has performed his best acting.he is so charismatic and olso so funny.look at his face at 3:04 and 3:11 .this face tells which words cant tell.he acts as a real gentle psycho and art man
Who are we but to stand on the head of a pinprick, unaware and uninspired by that beyond our imaginings. Man will find the very beginning only when he has reached the very end and in there lies beauty and light and sound and truth, above all else truth. May he find what he seeks and know himself better for who are we but to stand at the head of a pinprick, on the spoke of a spring, on the curve of a cog in the grand clockwork design.
Probably the most beautiful piece of music I have ever had the pleasure of hearing.
Since seeing the film, I have never tired of listening to it. I hope Ptrick Cassidy releases the full opera, oh and by the way, I'm a rock music fan!!!
WOW!!! The music and the vocals are so incredibly beautiful. It gives me goose bumps every time I hear it. It would be great if a full production were made.
Hannibal is the most respectible of all movie serial killers/cannibals, he loves orchestra, fine dining (using human meat), hates rudeness and thus is very polite. and then he is so evil that his heart doesn't skip a beat or spead up at all when he kills
In English....... And Thinking Of Her sweet Sleep Overcame Me i Am Your Master see Your Heart and Of This Burning Heart your Heart (Chorus: She Trembling) obediently Eats. weeping, I Saw Him Then Depart From Me. joy Is Converted to Bitterest Tears i Am In Peace my Heart i Am In Peace see My Heart
omg from 0:16-0:18 you can see a face of some sort made from the light, it moves slowly into the water. It 's like a sad face, that just makes this scene more creepy.
i don`t understand . . at 4.06 that girl says somethin` , and then Dr. Lecter says something else . . if someone could help me out. . sorry for my poor english ..

I brought the DVD just for this scene but the whole movie is beautifully filmed and Anthony Hopkins is a genius.
Love the Mason Verger scene when he says to Hannibal that he probably wishes that he was fed to the dogs and Hannibal replies "No Mason, I much prefer you this way"
What a stunningly beautiful wife Pazzi has! I could see why Hannibal would want to eat her! I certainly would, and I know where I'd start.............
