@ROLOSEMEN yeah love the sound, its stoner or fuzz rock sound. okay if you want that sound there are various ways you can go, first try to get a tube amp, yep, digital amps are cheap, tube amps just kick like a mule (anyway search info about amps) second the distortion you cant throw 2 distortions and cut the noise with a compressor or something like that , dial with the dis until you get what you want and then fuzz pedals do some of the work. pre-eq and the eq of the amp are main mix well

@ROLOSEMEN - Scott uses the Superfuzz. Bob uses the Creepy Face, which is a pedal based on the old Fuzz Face, but hand-built by the bass player in Fu Manchu.

@ROLOSEMEN sounds like something you could coax out of a fuzz face style fuzz. those things are great for all things stoner and sludge. going into a distorted amp they sound like mud, going into clean they sound bitey as hell.

@ashputtel haha definitly not a fuzzface, the singer of fu manchu plays the fuzzface most of the time, this dude uses some kind of super fuzz i think, i think a custom made sort of silicon fuzz pedal, sounds kinda like a old big muff too.

You just need to turn up your bass and mid, and roll back your treble. Maybe use your neck pickup, too.

They use a fuzz pedal too man. But yeah a pretty close tone when you roll back the treble and boost the other EQs up.
