  • Hilarious Andrea Martin .... And the SCTV version of Mrs Falbo was even funnier...

  • She sounds like Mickey Mouse.

  • I vaguely remember this now!

  • There's a word for this... and that word iiiis.... EEEHAKAZANGH! *confusion* |D

  • "Hello Tink...is Titania coming?" Heh, I love this show.

  • omg yes i found it i loved this

  • Gosh, I remember this like it was yesterday. This was how I learned to spell telephone, lol!!

  • you know what sucks? having to film this on the streets of new york

  • andrea martin, i love her

  • The character originated on SCTV with the faux kid's program "Mrs. Falbo's Tiny Town." Andrea Martin played Edith Prickley playing Mrs. Falbo. John Candy played Mr. Messenger. Done when the show was being shot in Edmonton (c. 1982). That would be a great clip to post , if anybody has it.

  • Who is playing wanda? In the mom and dad version of wanda they look like bob and maria.

  • Oh wow, I completely forgot all about these Wanda the Word Fairy segments! I used to really like them when I was a kid.

  • Alway fun how Wanda begins to hopelessly yank on the TELEPHONE card, trying to get it off. Naturally Wanda can make the word card appear, but can't make it DISappear! That's one of the rules about being a comic fairy!

  • I laughed at the part were the card got stuck on the telephone!

  • "hhhello hhhoney"

    wanda is hilarious.

  • Anyone have the full version of this, with Wanda saying "does anyone have a hammer?"

  • I also remember when Wanda made the words, "Darn it", appear then asking if anyone has a hammer. I guess they edited it because they didn't want kids using the words, Darn it.

  • I know, and I think that's absurd. When I was a kid, that term was acceptable in my house. It was the other "D" word that we weren't allowed to say. So does anyone have full version?

  • I still think this lady is wacky!

  • I've always refered to "Wanda the Wacky Word Fairy"
