I hear ya bro!! I'm a metal dude too! and could totally appreciate mikael's clean vocals. There is something so awesome about his "singing" voice that kicks more balls than any other, would i dare say, pop vocals out there. Mikael does it in a way that is haunting, yet astonishingly heart felt. It's what makes Opeth.....Opeth!!! No other band could ever touch that!

I agree 100%, and what really blows my mind is how effortlessly he switches between the clean vocals and the growl. And in addition to that, how clear the growl still is (which sounds like a contradiction in terms, but you can still understand every word he is growling, unlike most bands out there). Freakin' awesome.
