seen this tour. great band first album i bought by these guys was rock city back in 79. was hooked till rhett left. can't find these kind of bands today.
That's a live performance as good as the album-of which every note is engrained in my brain. Not all the bands were that good live. They had loud figured out but that didn't make up for shitty playing. I turned a lot of people on to Riot, I was like the underground music metal head.
I had all thier albums, a fan before you ever heard of them on the radio, restless breed got them to their height of fame. If you were young, struggling and having to make your own way in the world, this was the music that defined some things. You connected to it. It became the basis of where we came from. back in the day so to speak.
Always one of my fav bands. Have all their albums from Rock City to Born in America. Lost track of them after that. Just kick ass rock n' roll the way it should be played.
Great Music. I never thougth I'd replace my old tape and LP but I just found this on i-tunes. This album is one of my favorites of all time. Takes me back to high school!
Excellent album, thats right. I said album. I actuall just found it on cd. Great music, by a very underratted band. I just wish I could have seen them live....
@DreamZfleetwoodmac why all the labels? they never saw them live that's why... i knew Rhett before riot his voice was killer live...riot was killer with him too.. all polished musicians at their best..
Take heed kiddies. A good song does not need a hundred notes per second. Melody, groove, emotion, texture. Good stuff. Thanks for posting this classic !!!
@believer06 fuck that riot opened up and head lined fuck loads of tours with other big bans how big do you have to get be for you can say you have made it ???????????????????????????
This is the story of Rhett Forrester's death taken from Atlanta's newspapers.
Man dies after being shot at intersection. A 37 year old Tucker (Georgia) man died Saturday morning after being shot in his car at a Northwest Atlanta intersection on the corner of Lovejoy and Merritt off Techwood. Atlanta police stated that two men approached Forrester while he was stopped at an intersection.
A witness said he overheard arguing, then one of the men shot Forrester in the back. The bullet pierced his heart, yet Forrester was able to drive a few blocks where he flagged down a police officer. The only words he spoke to the officer were "i've been shot!!" He then collapsed and died. Police have no suspects or motives.
June 22nd 1996, two weeks before the Atlanta Olympics, Rhett Forrester inducted into Atlanta's own Hard Rock Cafe. Two large shadow boxes containing Rhett Forrester memorabilia now adorn the walls of the "Georgia" room. A lasting tribute to all the fans whose lives were touch by his music.
this is not the riot of fire down under fame whose singer was the one and only guy speranza who died of cancer in 2003 but left riot years before...
if you have not heard fire down under by riot you will know why this inger though ok is certainly not guy speranza...change your name youre not riot!!!!
Speranza was a god botherer who left the band because he thought god wouldn't approve. he died in 2003 of cancer I think. This guy, Forrester got shot dead in a robbery about 15 years ago. Apparently he was an excellent frontman but a real cunt.
Rhett was like a lion on Stage he commanded like few front man ever did. What a awesome time that was and a sad tragedy of what was to become. Rip Rhett your music will always be here for the masses!!
I got hooked on these guys late 70s...Rhett was an awesome addition! That album helped me let out a lot of aggression! those were the daze, very hazy daze! ;)
RIP Mark

@jimmyBang My thoughts are with you and Rhett.
I'm a child of the 80s....and grunge. I love love love 1992 and all that comes withat.
But when the radio sucks, and that's a lot, I switch to trusted music.
This whole album is that..Rhett will live forever here..and with my daughter.
