Haha are you serious? Kirk is good at what he does and Metallica wouldn't be what they are without him, but come on, Marty runs laps around him. Better note choices, better technique, better tone, more versatile, basically Marty can do anything that Kirk can and much more, and do it a whole lot better. Kirk is most likely the most overrated guitarist ever. I really dig Metallica but the only Metallica solo I ever really liked is the one in Nothing Else Matters, which James played.
