Now we smartened up and realize that those ancient fairy tales are poor explanations for how the world actually operates. People need an imaginary friend and psychotics cling to it. Interesting perspective. Have you ever lived the way the people you cheerfully call "primitive" lived? Their reasons for what they did were likely far more similar to ours than any of us "cultured" people would be comfortable with. As for the imaginary friend bit, healthy adults don't need them. Everyone has moments when they're not so healthy, but not everyone is ever healthy (which I find sad). Not sure which category I fall into.

Some of the science you're so happy with has supported the theory that humans need some form of spirituality to maintain mental health and relieve stress - people who are more in touch with their spirituality (note: not necessarily churchgoers) live longer. That's why it's around.

For a while porn was a big temptation for me. When I came to Jesus, he forgave my sins, and I was made new. But when I found myself in that same dark place I felt like trash. I learned when you sin/fall, there's nothing to do but ask for forgiveness. This song absolutely summerizes that.

Do you know that when everyone else in the world would turn their back on you there is one who always loves you. His name is Jesus the Christ. Please don't go through this life without at least doing some intensive investigation whether Jesus is real. Ask Him sincerely and He will reveal Himself to you.

The song is true, but only if we live in repentance. Christians who think they can live in sin will receive no grace. Grace was given on the cross. We shall be accountable for evey unrepented sin. Jesus will excuse nothing. He said: If you love me keep my commandments! No sin will go into heaven. Christians that persist in sin will not go into heaven, but into hell! Watch out.
