Dice did this to protect their precious infantry. It's by design. However, if you use the AGM TV cam for spotting, you will be able to spot enemy infantry from a greater distance and have them show up on normal view.
@deesies no. there are people that have a really bad draw distance due to their computers.. i just switched to a different motherboard, and i am amazed at how much i can see now. before, when flying, i never saw any spotted enemies on the ground,.. now i can see them.
Having the same problem. No help from Dice/Ea support. Amit Kumar suggested I delete my windows temp files and close background processes. This did nothing to solve the draw distance issue. I have E8500 @ 3.8ghz, ATI 6950HD 2gb, DX 11, Vista 64, 6gb DDR2-800 and play on ULTRA settings with ~50-70FPS.
Have the EXACT same issue on low settings on my computer! this is SO frustrating and really needs to be fixed, completely limits jets to taking out vehicles and other aircraft
dude i have this same issue.., while im flying sometimes my gunner sees/shoots at enemies i just dont see. and when Im a gunner, the pilot sees enemies that i dont see either. the game runs fine on maxed out settings for me (gtx 560 ti), but i still cant see shit. maybe there is some automatic setting that we cant adjust, that is dependent on cpu or something. I have the same e8400 as you.
u think this is bad, imagine us poor console people
