I love the film but it's also very simplistic. What happens to Steel Dragon and Mark W's character bloody epitomises everything that happened to Hard Rock from the mid 80's to the early 90'sd, all in a a couple of year's story time. Not very believable, but still a cracking effort, and one film I do like to watch at least twice a year!

@StarX81 Steelheart could be called Steel Dragon...they were big in the early 90s (but unfortunately grunge was becoming popular then) and the lead vocalist Miljenko Matijevic (who also provided Mark Wahlberg's vocals for this movie and provided them for some songs on the soundtrack too) unfortunately had a bad accident on stage in 1992. He climbed a lighting truss which was unstable & it tipped over. He ended up w/ a broken nose, cheekbone, jaw, twisted spine, & severe memory loss.
