  • If you've not worked in over a year. I would suppose you are not going to file a tax return . To also claim the donation to Goodwill, You will have to itemize your tax deductibles . You can't just claim that you made a donation to goodwill , no matter how much it was "worth" . It doesn't work that way..... I would rather have a dollar for an ornament , then have to give it away "free" !

  • @stinkycatz Not to mention, I put 10 plus bags into the goodwill bins at the local firehouse. So much stuff. It was a very difficult time for me, that's for sure. But I know that I was not the only one going through that. So many people lost their homes, gave up their beloved pets to the animal shelter, (where they were probably put down), etc.

  • have you gone to a pawn shop yet??

  • I want the victrolla

  • @stalag58 I gave up a lot of things that I loved, but the Victrola was one thing I could not bear to part with. I still have her, and she sits proudly in my new place,

    in the living room. :)

  • ARE you interested in sellling that old cardboard ?? And if so what would be the Freight to Melbourne, Australia ?

Cardboard here is very rare and exclusive and fetches $145.00 AU per pound

  • @hardyboyzrko Are you pulling this ol' Kat's tail? Carboard is RARE in Australia?

Cardboard is RARE in Australia? Well,

hell's bell's, I'll just mail you a box of air every

week, and then you'll have some cardboard!

lol! Thank you for watching, hardyboysrko!

Jeez, if you could have seen how much cardboard

I piled up in the back of my pickup truck, you hwould

    have had a kitten!

  • @NJKatwoman Dont send any Air though

, as we have plenty of that lol

here they call me a Cardboardologist, which is a dealer in Cardboard

The amount of carboard in your truck had me drooling

I've had Kittens before when in China, sure they tasted similar to chicken, but not to my liking

  • Damn I would have bought the violin and the record player on the rail there

  • You sold the guitar, or you moved it. That looked like a pretty good yard sale. A lot of those things woulda sold down here...nice vid Christy

  • Hi there, LittleTrucker!!! I'm heading South, girl! SouthBound and down! lol!

Tho not as far as Georgia, but in the Land of Dixie, nontheless! :)

  • Considering where the Mason Dixon line is, you wont have to go very far!!!! LOL... Good luck with the move!

  • how much for the cardboard?just kidding,do like the victrola though.

  • Hi Christy

    You sold the guitar!?!

  • Yes, 6K6R, my beloved old Epiphone that I had since I was 15 years old....the guitar that you see me playing in my old cable TV shows on Google Videos....I hated to part with her, but needed moving money.

If that guitar could only talk....man o man, the stories it could tell! LOL!

  • people are driving too fast to stop! you need to put a stop sign in front of your house...

  • I think I should have just jumped out in front of them! lol! STOP I SAY! STOP STOP STOP AND SPEND A BUCK DAMMIT!!!

    lmao!

  • I think perhaps I should have just jumped in front of their cars! "STOP STOP STOP I SAY, AND SPEND A BUCK DAMMIT"!!! lol!

  • a lot of work for a few bucks..and to think some people really enjoy yard sales..

  • lol! Ain't it the truthh, westsidemonster! Well, I think I just enjoyed spending my money at yard sales, but having one is a different story. I did sell some stuff, but practically gave it away. Nobody wants to spend more than two bucks! lol! :)

  • I wish you lots of dollars

  • Thank you, himanes! Me too! lol!

  • lol i love garage sales. but then i get sick of the stuff in a week, then it goes to salvation army. LOl good luck!

  • lmao! Yup, I hear ya! My problem is that I'm a "pack rat", My pals call me "Pack Rat, Katty"! lol! Everything has a sentimental meaning or a story behind it, and I find it incredibly difficult to let things go. Oh well, my loss will be someone elses gain, eh? :)

  • Thank you. roquad! In this economy, I sure will need some luck! Guess I'll play the MegaMillions lottery tonite! lol!

  • Well my lady...I wish you the best of luck on the sale...hope it all works out!!

  • Thanks Todd, I appreciate that! :)

  • I like that old fire extinguisher! how much? LOL Hang in there... It will all sell

  • $25.00 for the fire extinguisher! They go for $50 and up on Ebay, plus the shipping is really high. I may try to sell her at the Flea Market this weekend, if I go, I'll be sure to bring my cam! :)

  • Deal! LOL that would look great in my room next to all my other firefighting stuff!

  • LOL! Well, the $25.00 price tag was too rich so, I'm not giving it away. It goes w/ me, because it sits beside my fake fireplace mantle. I'm rather fond of that old relic. Thanks for commenting...! :)

  • hang in there christy, try again, i agree on the fire extinguisher,, love me naps to,,,, had one this afternoon,,

  • Thanks, klasstruck! Yeah, I'll run the "get outta Dodge" yard sale for a few more days....No time for Ebay, tho. Thanks for commenting! :)

  • Good luck NJK!!! That brass fire extinguisher caught my eye too. Maybe put it on Craig's List as a collector's item?

  • Hmmm.....ya know, that's not a bad idea? I've been asking $25.00 for it....do you think that's a fair price? They go for more on Ebay....but I don't have time for that right now, plus the shipping costs would be thru the roof. Thank you for your input, Anna!!! :)

  • you're supposed to charge the buyer for the shipping...

  • Oh, I did, Garysnic, but I still had to pay out of pocket for some of the shipping costs....the Ebay "shipping wizard" is a big dud.

  • Great Video!

  • Thank you, Ma'am! :)

  • Just pack everything up and send it to my office in L.A... I will send ya check..lol.. You are just to awesome..

  • *blushing* Why THANK you, DrHoss!

    I most appreciate that! :)

(Between you and me, I have more treasured crap in the basement to bring out. I'll be running this sale for a few more days! lol!)

  • Don't let that brass fire extinquisher go too cheap!

    I hope you sell out!

    John

  • Thanks so much, jstrunck! I was asking $25.00 for it, but no takers. One woman was interested, but she said "I have to ask my husband". These things go for $40.-$50 on Ebay, and that's without shipping.

  • U have a LOT of stuff!!! I'm surprised it didn't fly off ur porch! I hear all those cars passing... I thought yard sales were supposed to be fun too!

    Good Luck, NJK!!!
