@Viandox No, killing them doesn't affect their friendships. It does however add to their defeats.

And as long as you save before casting the sleep spell, you can make sure that the Sleep spell works all the time :)

Ah, so the goal then isn't to defeat Synbios troupe, but to get around it and kick-in the guy holding Synbios hostage?

Well, you CAN, if you want, attack and defeat Synbios' force before attacking the main Boss. Or, like me, you can try to ignore them (putting them to sleep) and heading for the boss :)
