I was outside watching this game on Mario's TV that night. I will never forget watching Staal putting that puck in the net. It was totally worth waiting five hours for a good spot.

As a Wings fan, when I saw this, our first shorthanded goal we've given up in a long time, I knew the Pens were gonna win the series, even after the 5-0 blowout we had the next game. When he scored that goal, I lost my fucking mind, I was never so mad at a sports game in my entire life, the neighbors almost called the cops on me because I lost all sense of control, thinking; How can my Wings give that up?

This was the best goal ever!! i live all the way out in sunny california and i am pretty much the only pens fan in sacramento among a bunch of sharks fans (eww) and my dad and i literally went crazy watching this on t.v. my mom almost had a heart attack we were so loud. this seriously was the goal that did it for the pens and lifted that city. That goal when it happened (down 2-1 Detroit PP) I told my wife that was the turning point and the Pens r going to win the series. Yea the Pens got their ass kicked in game 5 but if Staal doesn`t make that play , Detroit wins 4-1.
