Israel probably lost more than 60-70 soldiers during the war in Gaza. The only reason you didn't lose that much men was because the Strip had been under siege for many years. Give the palestinians some weapons, and they will burn down the Negev. That will happen in 2011-12, when the Mubarak-regime will collapse. When it does, weapons will start to flow into the Gaza-strip.

Look up Operation Changing Direction 11, at the end of the Lebanon War, where Israeli troops pushed to the Litani and killed 50 Hezbollah.

NGO's relied on info given by Hamas, which of course lied. The true figure is 709 Hamas fighters and 295 civilians. But even if it were 350-400, that far exceeds the Israeli death toll of 13. And explain then, how Israeli forces were still in Gaza, and the Givati Brigade had penetrated deep into Gaza City.

Israel probably lost more than 60-70 soldiers during the war in Gaza. The only reason you didn't lose that much men was because the Strip had been under siege for many years. Give the palestinians some weapons, and they will burn down the Negev. That will happen in 2011-12, when the Mubarak-regime will collapse. When it does, weapons will start to flow into the Gaza-strip.

By the end of the war, Israeli troops were inside Gaza city. They had taken over much of the strip, and the Givati Brigade penetrated the deepest. Also, Israel beat off an invasion by Jordan, Syria, Egypt, Lebanon, and the Arab Liberation Army. The war began when Israel was just hours old.

By the end of that war, the Israeli Army had crossed the canal, and the Egyptian third army was surrounded, and Israeli forces were 101 kilometers from Cairo. The Syrian army was also pushed back, and Israel invaded Syria and shelled Damascus. And I don't even have to mention the Six-Day War.
