  • Great flight sim. So perfectly Realistic!

  • so badass, can't wait till i can dogfight well, or even decent :3

  • @BOMBhollywood aim half an inch to 3 forths an inch in front of a turning aircraft to hit it in a turn.

  • The game looks so realistic! So why is it so hard to make the crashes look just as realistic? -.-

  • @nymerie RoF does have an incredible damage model, but it can't handle a completely disintegrating airframe.

It would just be too demanding on the PC system. Although they keep improving it all the time. I understand the game engine could be 10x as good as it is now but nobody's PC would be able to handle it.

  • I Love ROF, Duck Why cant i have better PC!

  • Can you costumize your paint on your plane and how do you get the plane you want? Are their requirements or are you just given a plane and told to fly??.... I personally love the Fokker DR.1 and the Neiuport 28

  • @Carjos07 you purchase any aircraft you want there like 8 bucks apiece

  • @23mbtx23 What about the paint of the plane in the game man? And thank you. I can't wait to try it...

  • @Carjos07 you can download thr paint schemes.. known as skins usually for free or sometimes for hella cheap.. most of them are historically accurate. I am a 24 year old published author who is currently working on my first book which is on the german, austro hungarian and ottoman empire's air services in ww1... and this sim is as realistic as possible

  • @23mbtx23 I know they are called skins, and thanks again! :D

  • at last, a WW1 simulation game, i've been looking for this since i went into simulators, and i only had stupid arcade games,

im so sad my computer its outdated, gotta get more ram and a good graphics card, oh i i dont earn in dolalrs, so no replies like "u can get a good one for 300$ =D" like it was pocket money for me ¬¬

    Specs: Amd Atlhon 2 250 (3.00Ghz)

    2 Gb Ram DDR3 1050mhz

not worth mentioning the onboard graphics card

oh and Asus M4N68T-M LE as mother

  • Excellent choice of music here. Can also hear the prop & guns so it's alright in my book.

If I hear anymore of that techno/house shit over these vids though I'm gonna hurl.

  • will this game work on my system?

    Windows 7 Professional 64 bit

    Intel i3 530 2.93GHZ

    4GB DDR3 RAM

    ATI Radeon HD 5600 series

i'm going to get the Iron Cross Edition too hopefully :)

  • @MrSpitfire1990 It should work ok with that. There's a free demo version on the RoF website you could test it with.

  • @calimar28 That's Wagner! For shame...

  • i think, it looks very good, but the realism?

  • black falcon ? :P

  • wow your really good!

  • It looks like a good game. I'm just completely turn off by the need for Internet to play.

  • @TheAdhocrat The internet connection means not having to keep the disc in your machine. That's a more user friendly security system than constantly having to use the disc.

  • @jarentz That's a terrible argument. Steam doesn't require me to use a disc. Even Valve wasn't dumb enough to leave out an offline mode for Steam. I like being able to play the games I spent a lot of money on without being tethered to the internet all the time. For the game, this was just a idiotic and short-sighted attempt to prevent piracy.

  • @TheAdhocrat A minor issue to an otherwise outstanding game. This is really the best flight sim ever made. I would let this stop you.

Honestly I wouldn't think twice about the internet connection thing, a PC is always online anyways, so it's non-issue. And yeah I prefer Steam's system too.

  • @TheAdhocrat Correction; Rise of Flight does in fact have an offline mode. The original game did require a constant internet connection but that was changed in one of the patches.

  • @TheAdhocrat I can see the internet connection being a problem for people who say want to run games on a laptop traveling or something. But this is a flight simulator and needs a stick, rudder pedals and a TrackIR to really be used properly, it's not a very portable game. Also the power needed to run it almost demands a desktop, it's system requirements are very demanding.

  • @jarentz i only play with stick&mouse and i a mone of the best RoF players!

  • @MRoesterreicher1 Yeah, the TrackIR is a fun device but it's not really necessary to have one to play the game. In fact there's a disadvantages to it with the 6DOF in being able to lean away from your gunsight view. Some people are really good with the hatview switch which lets you snap views more quickly. I prefered using the mouse before I got the TIR

  • @jarentz A good hat button works as good as trackIR

  • @TheAdhocrat since patch 1.011 we have offline mode, we don't have to be connected .

  • @nashashmalchiel good

  • @TheAdhocrat There is a PvE Offline mode in the game too. Internet is only for updates and online play
