Small, smokey basement bar and proper (or maybe no) mike-ing and this would have been an excellent gig. As it is, it seems a bit of a cluster-pluck and I'm not feelin' the love-nobody's really into it...such a shame...

No mike in a venue such as this and you wouldn't be able to hear the great voice. He is using a sure sm 58, there is arguably no better live mic without catching spill from the band at feedback levels. It seems Justin is into it, and that is pretty important . I enjoy to see a musician enjoying themselves, and not just trotting out the old hits without trying something new. I'm betting the people that went along knowing he was performing in this way had a great time. Thanks ChrissieA
