WHO WILL SPEAK HAKKA? or listen to Hakka songs or Watch Hakka TV? Kuomintang is gonna close down Hakka TV & Hakka museums opened by separatist President Chen Shui-bian. KMT wants Hakka assimilated into Chinese Mainlanders & speak "MANDARIN ONLY" cos Hakka is separatist language used by independent elements.
The Hakka CANNOT be pure Han people bcos like many Southern Chinese people like d Cantonese & Minnan etc, are basically a mixture of Han Chinese from north & Aboriginal Yue people who were d original inhabitants of Southern China.

Hakka r in no way can compare to Cantonese. Cantonese r noble, wealthy, educated & city dwelling peoples.
Hakka r just poor peasants or hill-tribe peoples without land or "Guest only".
Assimilate n become Cantonese.
