Sorry to say this but we've been had. Obama = Bush on steroids. Yea, he looks better, he speaks better but unfortunately, he'll be able to push the agenda better.

I didn't meet BUSH but i voted for him and now i lose my house, business and finance. Now what do you want to do as republican vote for mccain for another 4 years look Obama is smart and he will make smart and responsible common sense desicion for all middle and poor people around the world. Yes this really move RICh men and women worry because they will need to share to the poor. WOW i thought this is what christianity teach helping the POOR and NEEDY.

Yes its all about being black. Thats why he gets such a free pass. If Obama was white there would be no chance of him getting as far as he has after the associations and comments he has made, 'typical white person', 'punished with a baby' crediting our success in Iraq to the mahdi militia more than to the US armed forces themselves, going to the gyn instead of visiting injured soldiers where the press was not allowed (no photo op = no show). The double standard is disgusting, I agree.

So, the real question is how do we eliminate the double standard? As reporters/journalists can we put all candidates no matter their racial background on the same platform and hold them to the same level of scrutiny? Thanks for taking the time to weigh in!

There are doub-standards based on political loyalties as well. Im doubtful it will ever be tempered b/c too much is at stake, nobody wants to loose and considerations not based on performance have more momentum than performance based. Both candidats are full of either personal shortcommings or political ones, so its a messy cross product, more of a matrix. I dont think standards can be mitigated much based on reason; decision is subconscious in people, its automatic. It runs deep on all sides.
