Because to use it as the only aiming device it wouldn't be so accurate.

@maxwellborden ooooooh night-vision, so that's not a laser scope. I don't hunt at night & the video was in a lighted area so hard to say. Not a very practical gizmo is it?! I mean if it's for hunting you can't find the animal to aim the laser at it to begin with and if it's tactical it makes the shooter a better target by pinpointing his location!
