I never done more than 6500 (I done this on the last battle with a straight sunrise combo) personally. But the game is too easy so never feel the need to grind. One of the only RPG have finished even if it was too easy because it was fun even though. Normally I quit because of this, I prefere hard games. ^^

@okayamatakashi max number of usable cards at once is 9 (unless a monster has a 10 hit combo which i highly doubt...)

Mine de rien, ca me rassure de voir que j'suis pas le seul a encore trimbaler des carte lv4 une fois a Cor Hydrae. J'ai même commencé avec encore des Rafales de vent lv3 :(

Heureusement, un peu de farm et PAF, tout en niveau 6.

how the fuck did u get that many lv 5 and 6 moves?? theres only 2 ways u can do that in the game. thats work ur ass and look for every magnus, or hacks

@BEASTEROFBEASTS Yeah, i think the Apollions give you level six magics and in Zosma tower you can get a lot of lv 5 fire bursts from the purple frog things.

Overall, a 9-combo with Xelha is the best.

Nice defenses where'd you get some of them? I am at the end is it too late to get them? And how do you choose to use a different spirit number than the default upper-right corner one?

You get great magnuses by just fighting monsters in Cor Hydrae at the end, both attack and defense.

To choose another number, select the magnus using the right (yellow) joystick (in the direction of the number you want to use)

@Kafei2006 Yeah. What a lot of people don't know is that you get the best cards just by fighting a shit ton of monsters at each stage. It can be a bit tedious, but you gain so many good cards and experience, you whip right through them after a bit.

@kookookid520, what ever number u want, just tilt the c stick in that direction and u will get that number so if 5 is on the right and 6 is on the left, and u want 5, then tilt the c stick to the right.

@derausmpark Must be a shield. I don't know the english names for the magnuses so i wouldn't be able to tell exactly which one anyway. Or maybe you meant the right ? That's the Pac-Man magnus :).

It's a decent magnus by the end of game standards. But no special effects to it, just a nice amount a non elemental damage. You can get it by achieving an ex-combo, aligning certain fruit magnus in the right order  (like melon, strawberry, cherry, etc... the fruits pac-man eats in the original game he's from ;) )

at least the voice acting gets passable in origins. The horrendous voice acting was one of the reasons I put this game down for a year. I pressed onward, though, and found that this is pretty much one of the best games I've ever played, once you get a hang of the combo system, it's amazingly fun. the storyline had a lot of twists I never saw coming, either. The only thing I could have done without is that sappy love story crap they threw in at the end.

That's my girl. Xelha is one of the best RPG heroines in a long time. She's probably the best character to use, and I found her intelligence and bravery a lot more likable compared to Kalas's self-absorbed angsting.

yeah, that's the french version. I'll translate the magnuses names (found the exact english name on gamefaqs(dot)com) : There are two water elemental defense magnuses used in xelha's defensive turn. the one used two times is the "Robe of the ocean" : Def 255 (water 135). The other one is the "Powder Snow Anklet" : def 98 (water 59).

I've already did a more than 20000 hits one with kalas lvl 99, dark elemental swords only in his deck and fighting weak-against-dark-elemental enemies. I still have to upgrade the other characters' decks with ATK+ Magnuses so i can deal even more damage to those enemies before i shoot another video and upload it. besides i have to purchase a new DVD recorder in order th shoot this video cuz' mine is out of order :-P ...

Xelha is such an underrated character. She is probably the best character, or at least deserves a place in your top party.

IMO, the wort character in the game is Lyude. Savyna comes right after him, she's so annoying by just having weapons of fire and water elementals (which are opposites and are not welcome together in a combo), plus her best weapons are rather rare, and she's too fats. You don't have much time to decide which Magnus to use. Other than that, ll the characters are good, and so does Xelha.

savyna deals much damage, but is the hardest to use as you have to react really fast. Gibari is able to use his weapons as shields which actually makes him one of the most easiest to use characters in the game. he's slow as hell though and kind of annoying to use lol.

Lyude is my favourite and I also tend to be able to do the most damage with him. He is especially useful towards the end when basically everything is weak to light.

You can get it by doing an SP combo using fruit magnuses. Can't remember exactly which magnuses but you can find out more about it on gamefaq dot com (search their FAQs for a SP combo list)
