I flew with VARIG when I was a kid... I lived near KLAX for ten years since I was born. They would only use the MD-11 on RG8837 LAX-GRU-GIG, which we took on almost every break we had from school to go to our family. Unfortunately, I witnessed the bankruptcy of VARIG - and the loss of a childhood friend...

@mef2988 I was sitting in row 11A, it's a great place for spotting the engine and also 9A, if you want to sit behind the wing sit in row 35A or 36A, Are you flying the MD-11 this summer?

@FLYYVR yep I'm flying with the md-11 this summer, but 11A is comfort economy I have to pay then, I rather pick 14A it's close to the engine too.
