david o. mckay was the only mormon president who the people truly loved. after he passed the church doctrine, and customs seriously changed and the presidents were not as well recieved. If you did not know of president mckay, you truly have no idea what a prophet of god is really like.

I have always wanted to hear President McKay as I had read he had a fine voice, thank you for making this video available. Can you give any background as to the video - I'm guessing it's from General Conference - but were they filmed back then? When is this recording from?

He reminds me of some of the Southern pastors from my youth. Very clean cut with a nice smooth voice you could listen to for hours. I agree with many historians who say that David O. McKay was the man who brought modern day Mormonism.

This is the best Testimony I've ever heard from a Mormon. Finally someone who talks about Jesus instead of saying "I know Joseph Smith is a true prophet." Or "I know the book of Mormon is true"

You must not have ever attended an LDS Church meeting! That is the central focus.

We bear our testimonies about Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon because it is something unique about our faith. Others already know that we believe in the Bible and that Jesus Christ is our Savior!

Has anyone seen Prophets and Presidents on BYU-tv? I heard that David O. McKay and Lyndon B. Johnson were really good friends. That's cool.

It was Walt Disney that was friends with President McKay. Mr. Disney spoke several times to the youth conferences at Temple Square when they were both alive. President McKay was the President of my youth also. He was a great friend to the polonaisian people & they loved him, as of course everybody that knew him did.
