@gemini7873 easy real their body language if it looks like he is pissed off they are. here are a couple of tips. 1.) dont grab him while he is asleep it will startle him and he will bite! 2.) grab for him slowly if your too quick u may be a threat. 3.) when he strikes let him!!!! its a baby he will defend himself id rather get bitten by a 20'' snake then a 12' snake. 4.) fourth and lastley when handling dont be nervous you need the right attitude if the snake is bitey. hope it helps buddy.

I have a fully grown boa constrictor which is extremely placid and has never even tried to bite me. however, whilst hand-feeding him a rat last week I was a tad careless and put my between him and his food and ... WHACK! he nailed me lol. lots and lots of blood, and even quite bad bruising, don't try it with a fully grown boa!

Boa Constrictors are extremely docile. They just have to be handled regularly and they are one of the most placid snakes I've seen. But, obviously, if you handle it as roughly as this guy, it's gonna stay really defensive.
