YOU TUBE CLEANS UP THE VIDEO A LOT. IT'S AMAZING WHAT THEY DO FOR SOME PEOPLES VIDEO AFTER UP LOAD.
if you focus it just right the temp goes up to 4000 degrees in a realy fine pin point spot. once you spread the focal point the temperature is spread out as well. but the same amout of heat power remains constant.

Ya I realy need to build an axial fux alt with the steam power cylindar you made from a water pipe with the trickle of a faucet. then make a steam engine from a 2 stroke like you and 67 did.. then I need to build a aolar tracker like west coast Dougs, with azimuth and all.

Thanks bro. I read down the line of comments a little and SABARCHIN has a solution to the melting process. Ill have to try it. when i was melting the can tops, I could melt some of it fast but it would only melt about an ounce at a time. and then it would start to dissipate heat into the rest of the surface area. i used to put 1/2 ounce of trany fluid in a can and put it in the wood stove to get it started. the cans would magically disappear. when I cleaned out the stove, I had a thick slab.
