@ambiantshroom Indeed it was when Jesus first spoke about the Eucharist; read John 6. True communion means coming into communion with the Truth - NOT agreeing on some middle-of-the-road compromise that satisfies no-one and mingles truth with falsehood. If there is division because some people will not accep the Truth, that is a necessary sadness. We cannot compromise the truth for the sake of false communion.
I truely think the Catholic church was established by jesus Christ.Mist protestant churches are hypocrites who are only after the money and only the money. And most help people only for money.Catholics don't,they pray alot more than those so called pentecostals. The Catholic church is the true church of God
Yes, you r right the only true church was built upon prophets and apostles, and that my friend is exactly what JesusChrist did when He chose Peter as the first apostle and eventually became the Rock of the church. That church was established about 2000 years ago.
i think the only true church of jesus christ had apostles and prophets.. and can only perform baptism if they had a priesthood authority which is given by god..
@lizjasso Indeed. Joel Osteeen, while, with good intentions, no doubt, is inspiring people to have faith and hope, he, and others like him, are preaching the Resurrection can happen without a Calvary to precede it. And, still, even before Calvary, there is always a Gethsemane.
OK..SaintMichaelsMedia i agree with most of your comments. But it kind of bothered me when you said that "You have not found Jesus because you are not catholic" - earlier post. i Am a evangelical and a catholic sympathizer. I have indeed found Jesus and the holy ghost is indeed inside of me. Yes, many Christian denominational churches are heretical...but you always have the opportunity to except Jesus.
@crustywalnutmedia Only in the Catholic and Orthodox Churches is Jesus physically present in the Eucharist. Only there can one encounter Jesus as He wishes to be encountered - without eating His flesh and drinking His blood there is no salvation, no life.
@joe26180 Only Churches with valid apostolic succession. Only Churches which teach all the doctrines of the first Christians. Only Churches will valid sacraments. Only Churches with the Eucharist.
@crustywalnutmedia "Accept" Jesus =) The point here is how to accept Him. Is it by just saying it? by just believing? how about by having Him in you by taking His Flesh and Blood? that's kind of more legit, isn't it?
@ChrisDaron It is certain the way Jesus SPECIFICALLY says to receive Him. I mean, that's kind of important, right? We are supposed to love Jesus. If my wife said she wanted to recieve roses, I would not be fully loving her if I bought her violets.
My mother accepted Christ in the Roman Catholic Church..Jesus followed her to a protestant church, he did not leave her alone after she left a church that believed in Trans-substitution.The Apostle's Creed also states that we are a Catholic Church (world-wide church). As a Jesus-follower i want to see unity! And according to the Vatican issued pamphlet "Prayer Intentions Of Pope Benedict XVI" says that unity among all Christians is necessary for effective proclamation of the gospel! GOD BLESS!
@crustywalnutmedia It is "transubstantiation" - and this just reveals your ignorance of the thing you discus and malign. Unity does not mean compromising our truth with the evil lies of Protestants! Unity, as you would know if you read the teaching of the Church, means Protestants and others agreeing with Rome and surrendering from their treachery against Christ.
I will pray for your mother, because she has thrown away the gift Christ gave the world.
If there's only one church, does that mean that others are wrong or incorrect? Maybe not totally, but partially. Anyways, how can u know that without reading the other's religions' books and talking with those who actually know these other religions?
@rolingpingu Yes, if there is only one truth then anything which is different from that truth is incorrect. And it can be known by (as you say) study and also by simple logic; if something is true, one does not need to know all other posibilities to know they are wrong. If you know 2 + 2 = 4, you do not need to study all the other (infinite number of) wrong answers to know they are wrong; it is simple logic to say that which is not true is false.
@rolingpingu Protestantism consists of over 60, 000 denominations (each sect has its different other sub-sects, for instance, there are at least more than 2 different sects in the Pentecostal sect.) Each one has its own ideas and its own "truth" or so to speak. No Protestant sect has the Eucharist. Some Protestant sects are very liberal, some are more conservative. Basically, Protestants have over 60, 000 sects to choose from. Jesus chose YOU, so why choose a sect instead of His Church?
what is your take on the infallible doctrine of the selling of indulgences that was one of the the factors that led to the questioning of papal decrees and protestantism?
@V1catapult It is a fact (and not my opinion) there IS no such infallible doctrine. The selling of indulgences is and always has been wrong and not permitted. It is also impossible - anyone paying for an indulgence does not get one. So, I cannot answer your question because it assumes facts not in evidence (and reveals your ignorance). The selling of indulgences is impossible and anyone who tried is wrong and evil.
@fireangel1732 For the same reason Jesus had a disciple who sold him out; humans are not perfect, but the TEACHING is perfect. Humans can do evil things and belong to a good organization. For example, you like videos which contain horrible swear words in their title - but you are presumably a Christian. That doesn't mean Christianity is evil and promoting of swearing.
@nasticanasta >> If the pope were married he would know how fallible he was! lol
Wow. Not ONLY do you post anti-Catholic stuff on our videos, but you ALSO mock the sacrament and institution of marriage and husbands by this idiotic "Men are always wrong" comment.
I have had it with this sort of sexism and denigration of the male. Go away and learn some manners and respect for the FIRST institution made by God (marriage - "God made them male and female")
@999Thip Yes - Jesus is the truth. And ONLY the Catholic Church teaches the full truth about Jesus Christ. You would know NOTHING about Jesus were it not for the Church, as the Church wrote the Gospels and preserved the Bible. You wouldn't have the Bible if it weren't for the Church.
How ungrateful you are! Rejecting the very thing Jesus left behind for you!
@999Thip Jesus founded a Church, in case you haven't noticed.
Clearer example: you have a friend. Your BEST friend whom you love so much. You meet him everywhere, right? but how about when he invites you to his house? when he wants you to meet his parents? He has a HOUSE where he lives and where you can see him.
Jesus is everywhere, indeed, but the only place you can find in and have him IN YOU is in the Catholic Church, where you take HIS BLOOD and BODY.
@999Thip Have you never read Matthew 16: 16-19? Jesus established HIS CHURCH upon Peter and gave him the Keys to the Kingdom of Heaven. That was the beginning of the Catholic Church. No Protestant church can trace their roots back further than 500 years ago. Jesus established His Church to carry out His instructions and teachings, which it has done for these past 2000 years. The Catholic Church was established by Christ himself. Your church was established by a man. My choice is JESUS' CHURCH.
@boleggs49 Right on!!! Those who say the Church teaches error and popes are not infallible are saying that Jesus lied when He made the statements in John 14:16; John 14:26; John 15:26; John 16:12-13; Luke 10:16; and Matthew 16:18-19.
All churches are more or less equal and valid according to Vatican II. Divine Mercy says (sister faustina) that God is bringing everyone to Heaven anyways so what does it matter?! People need to wake from this Novous Ordor, apostate church. The assisi gatherings is apostasy. being in communion with non-catholics is apostasy. regarding other faiths as somewhat valid is apostasy. Salvation outside the Catholic faith is apostasy. There is no salvation outside the church and the True Faith.
I will not tollerate so-called soi-dissant "Catholics" who reject teachings of the Church here. We call those who reject Trent Protestants; I see no reason to treat those who reject Vatican II and the teachings of the pope in any different way.
I only left this comment here and responded to show that we do NOT think in such a false and evil manner as to reject teachings of the Church.
@defgill -- Other faiths are "somewhat valid" because they hold to some valid doctrines such as the Trinity and the Divinity of Jesus, but of course we want them to have ALL truth and that is only found in the Holy Catholic Church (not Sedaventist).
@defgill -- And the saying that there is no salvation outside the church means that the Grace of God is not actually confined to our church but can extend beyond where you think it is limited. How else do you think we get converts if the grace of God does not venture outside the His Church?
@areyouazombie Pity that the words of Christ do not support that, huh? Jesus says that someone who does not listen to the words of faithful Christians should be "taken to the Church" and if he will not listen to the Church (which has to be more than simple believers in Christ, or His body) then he should be treated "as a tax collector".
@areyouazombie --The "Invisible Church" was cooked up by protestants in order to smooth over the denominational and doctrinal chaos Luther created. The Church is a visible, spiritual, organic, observable thing.
All churches is true as long as you believe in God or Jesus. Any churches who thinks other churches is not true is wrong. Just follow the 10 cammandments and Jesus will be on your side. No matter what church you from. Were all childs of god.
@HlubPevHmoob What you say is self-contradictory; you say "all churches is true" but then you say "Any churches who thinks other churches is not true is wrong". So, which is it? You are saying some churches are not true - so you must be wrong.
I suggest you think more logically about what you post in future.
@HlubPevHmoob So... the Church that Jesus founded was just "an option"? if it had been an option, then why would he had founded His Church on Peter?
Very respectfully said: that's one of the dumbest statements Protestants come up with. In Protestantism, THERE ARE DIVISIONS AS WELL, which tells you: they're all wrong. The only Church that's remained together (against WHOEVER and WHATEVER) is the Catholic Church.
Listen closely and you will never hear the health and wealth speak on atonement. They preach its benefit but not its meaning to God.They never speak atonement truth
Can you explain to me the differences between an orthedox church, and a catholic church? I'm confusing by the name, bc both are conforming with traditional teaching, and belief. Where did the orthedox church came out from?
God punished Haiti because of the Catholics the antichrist
I am letting this offensive comment stand because it shows just how low Protestants will sink; appropriating a natural disaster where thousands are dead and wounded and homeless and using it for their own agenda.
And I am quoting the comment because it would be just like a coward who uses a disaster for personal gain to delete his own comment. I want the comment to stand, to show CLEARLY what these people are like.
This is what we face - a culture of people who change Christianity to make it easier for themselves, selfish individuals who are willing to use a natural disaster as political capital.
@ChrisDaron I've also run into protestant groups that make such outlandish claims but despite their Bible thumping attitudes, they can't back up their claims. When I ask for Biblical proof or references, I get excuses and lies. My question is; why do other, obviously non satisfied groups feel the need to attack God in this manner?
@cjeb2003 --It seems that protestants are somehow content with the fact that they cannot back up the straw pillars of the Reformation and continue with business as usual.
And we love you too, in a totally non-gay way also! We love you in a Christian way of wanting to help you and everyone else know Jesus in the fullness of the truth of the Catholic Church.
Ok this guy makes no sense and he is an example of the antichrist system of the catholic church "If your're not catholic your're not christian!" yea right the catholic church isn't christian. For years they repressed the true word of God from the masses, they murdered over 50 million christians during the inquisitions telling them turn are burn, now is that Christ like ... hell no
And you are simply a liar and I see no reason to allow you to continue to sin and damage your relationship (such as it is) with God.
i) "If your're not catholic your're not christian!" - we never say this. Imply we do is a LIE. This is a sin.
ii) "For years they repressed the true word of God from the masses," - another LIE. It was the Catholic Church who protected, preached and translated the word of God.
There is one true Gospel and one true faith but as for the one true Church? A church as described in the Bible is an assembly of believer's.
The early mother Church was in Jerusalem and not Rome.
The early believer's belonged to a sect called the Way.
Any Church that perverts the Gospel of Christ is accursed. Even Paul stated as such that if he or anyone even if the Angels were to proclaim another gospel that they are anathema.
A false gospel is one that adds works to faith. Either you are under the law or under grace. You cannot be under both simultaneously. If you choose to go back under the law after you have been saved by grace then you nullify the law. If you break part of the law then you are guilty of breaking the whole law. No one can keep the law perfectly except Christ. That is why you need grace. Grace is unmerited favor and cannot be earned or worked for.
I do. It is banning individuals like her who post nothing but anti-Catholic comments. I am all for discussion etc., but one glance at her page showed her to be nothing but an ignorant, hateful anti-Catholic uninterested in facts and evidence.
So, to all other people who want to come here and "try their luck". On these videos; I am the big dog, and I hunt.
I am quite happy to have rational, factual discussion - but don't post lies about the Gospel, and don't have a page which is nothing but anti-Catholic rhetoric unsupported by facts and evidence.
After all, I don't do this for fun, you know . . .
>> Thank God He is merciful less they all burn in hell. For my taste, I prefer that they do
You PREFER that someone goes to Hell? Is that seriously what you are saying?
You are far, far, far off the map and where you should be. You prefer that Protestants go to Hell, so you don't bother to evangelize and consider it a waste of time?
You desperately need to change your attitude - because it is NOT conducive to your salvation! Get to confession - fast!
Trying to educate people to know more about Christ is never a waste of time - shame on you for saying we should not evangelize, or that certain people are not worthy of our time!
Who needs help more - Catholics who follow the Truth, or Protestants and pagans and Muslims and Jews and schismatic Catholics who deny certain teachings etc. etc.?
It is not the well who need a doctor, but the sick!
It is good to evangelise! Shame on you for suggesting there are people not worth it!
And regarding John 3:1-6, Nicodemus asked how can a man be born again because he can't enter his monther's womb a second time...then Jesus responded that a man must be born of water AND of the Spirit to be saved. He that is born of flesh is flesh, and he that's born of Spirit is spirit. The first time you were born, you came through the water of your mother's womb (water broken)..being born AGAIN, you must be born again through God's Spirit..there's your water and your Spirit right there.
Pity absolutely no-one prior to 1600 AD agrees with you, huh?
See, this is the problem - it is YOUR interpretation of the passage and it is at odds with all the Church Fathers (who were taught by the Apostles). Tell me; why are you right and they are wrong?
Let me re-state; NO-ONE says the water in that verse refers to amniotic fluid. NO-WHERE else in the Bible is the word water used to refer to this. It is a modern concept devoid of logic.
Jesus says you must be born again of water (baptism) in order to be saved. This means baptism is NORMATIVELY necessary. Only those who are not baptised through no fault of their own can get away with it. Anyone who consciously avoids baptism will go to Hell.
God Bless the Church Founded by Jesus Christ. As St. Ignatius wrote in 110A.D. "Just as wherever Jesus Christ is, there is the Catholic Church" God Bless you Michael for your patience with our Confused, Diluted, psuedo Christian Brethren that hold to man made traditions that NEGATE the Word of God; such as Sola' Scriptura and Sola' Fide'. Even Luther on his death bed wanted to come home to the Mother Church. Only Mary, & his Devotion to her, might have convinced Jesus to save him?
@endofus 1) Who hunted down and killed whose enemies? Certainly not the Catholic Church! 2) Luthor came on the scene during the rise of nationalism, with monarchs working to strengthen themselves and consolidate their power, a prime reason for Henry VIII establishing the Church of England. It broke Rome's influence over the affairs of their states. Luthor's movement served their purposes. It also helped start new wars and a lot more killing.
hi, do you mind telling me if what was said in the movie/book Angels and Demons is right when it says that the Church hunted down and killed members of a society? thank you
>> do you mind telling me if what was said in the movie/book Angels and Demons is right when it says that the Church hunted down and killed members of a society?
It's completely false - the society in question never even existed. Dan Brown just made it up and it's a total lie.
So true on these claims- and we Catholics are accused of making up stuff. Wow!!! Every time I read about the ancient practices of the Church, they look alike like the Catholic Church today. If found this information at the local library, not an evangelical store where only their claims are found.
Epic Fail - you mis-spelled "Roman CatholiCism". The odd spelling mistake is fine, but to get the central point of your unfunny and inaccurate post wrong? Epic fail.
That, added to your faulty theology, makes you look doubly stupid.
>> I never remember Pope John Paul or the current pope make this declaration.
Well, you can't have listened too hard to them. The statement is found in the Catechism, and also in several documents (including the famous "RESPONSES TO SOME QUESTIONS REGARDING CERTAIN ASPECTS OF THE DOCTRINE ON THE CHURCH")
@SaintMichaelsMedia i remember when one of my protestant friends tried to put the Church down by mentioning the priests accusations..i simply told him the truth, the truth is ..PRIEST ARE NOT CHILD MOLESTERS, CHILD MOLESTERS ENTERED THE PRIESTHOOD!
@999Thip He has found Jesus because he is Catholic. YOU have not found Jesus because you are not Catholic. You will ONLY find Jesus in His fullness in the Catholic Church.
The Catholic church teaches that you can only be saved if you were baptised in the Catholic Church but also teaches that the people who haven't had the chance to learn about the Christ that they can be saved by the so called baptism of blood, am I right?
The church is spiritual, not a physical organization, not an institution; not a visible entity; it is totally spiritual - because there are wheat and tares in the visible church.
>> You misquoted me. I said there would be wheat and tares in the "visible" church.
No, you said the Church is entirely spiritual because there are wheat and tares in the visible Church. But Jesus makes no distinction between spiritual and visible; they are one and the same.
Your notion that the Church is spiritual is simply wrong - Jesus speaks of the Church as something which can be appealed to to settle disputes. How can that be if it is not visible? If it does not have a visible head?
Now I rejoice in what was suffered for you, and I fill up in my flesh what is still lacking in regard to Christ's afflictions, for the sake OF HIS BODY, WHICH IS THE CHURCH
>> They are all based on copied stories from the babylonians.
Absolute rubbish - those claims were made by people without a single qualification in history, and are completely devoid of truth. They have been comprehensively refuted time and time again. Don't waste our time with such obvious tosh.
Jesus Christ is the leader of the church "THAT BEARS HIS NAME."
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day saints is the True Church on the WHOLE EARTH. God did show HIMSELF to Joseph Smith and called him to be a prophet of God. Joseph Smith sits on a Throne with the rest of the prophets in God's holy Kingdom.
Joseph Smith recieved his authority from St. Peter, James and John the beloved, restored the keys of the kingdom to the Earth.
God might have loved Joseph Smith, but Joseph Smith hated God. Why else would he tells lies about Him?
>> 1 Lord, 1 Faith, 1 Baptism
Then why do the Mormons teach several gods (and teach that humans can become gods) and teach multiple baptism?
Please also explain the historical inconsitencies in the Book of Mormon (such as the presence of honey bees in pre-Columbian America). Please also explain the constant change of Mormon doctrine.
Yeah Im sure that the true churh believed in a golden book that never existed. I doubt that Joseph Smith is sitting beside God in Heaven unless he repented of his wikced ways before he died. Joseph Smith was never given authority to rewrite Christianity.
The Roman Catholic Church is the world's largest Christian Church, and represents over half of all Christians and one-sixth of the world's population. It is made up of one Western church (the Latin Rite) and 22 Eastern Catholic churches, divided into 2,782 bishoprics. The Church looks to the pope, currently Benedict XVI, as its highest human authority in matters of faith, morality and Church governance. The community is made up of an ordained ministry and the laity.
PS: "I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book. He who testifies to these things says, 'Yes, I am coming soon.',"
>> Now, explain why you are against solo scriptura.
Because THE BIBLE is against sola scriptura - the Bible says to stick to oral Traditions!
And it is funny that you quote Rev 22:18-20! When it was the Protestants who REMOVED books from the Bible! The seven deuterocanonical books (part of the Jewish scriptures Jesus used) were in the earliest lists of Scripture produced in the 2nd century.
At the time that was written Revelations was not bound up with the scriptures first of all so you take it out of context. Don't you use Bible commentaries? Sola scirptura is never mentioned in the Bible. Scritpure + tradition is 2 tHes 2:15
Also agree with 99% of your video with the exception of the "dark, barbarous world that the (Roman) Catholic church stepped into 2,000 years ago." Of course, that's just an assertion and cannot be proven - not by the Bible, anyway. Otherwise, you state our position (the church of Christ) fairly well.
>> Of course, that's just an assertion and cannot be proven - not by the Bible, anyway.
No, the Bible is pretty quiet on that issue. But science, history, archaeology, literary study, logic and all of that sort of stuff prove our point :)
When you say "the church of Christ" do you mean The Roman Catholic Church? 'Cause the OTHER organization(s) which call themselves "the church of Christ" i) aren't Churches and ii) aren't "of Christ".
I believe my original text was a reply to a specific statement. The church established on the day of Pentecost in AD 33 was indeed "catholic" or to be "catholic". The Church of Christ simply seeks to restore simple, SIMPLE New Testament Christianity which had been corrupted - and it was the so-called RCC that did most of the corrupting. Then the reformers sought to "reform" or "protest" something which could not be reformed. That still doesn't deny the fact that most of your post is agreeable.
>> That still doesn't deny the fact that most of your post is agreeable.
Your post, unfortunately, is not. It is disagreeable because it is not true.
>> it was the so-called RCC that did most of the corrupting.
Do you have any evidence for this? Because the writings of the Church Fathers, the original Christians, show that they believed exactly what the Roman Catholic Church believes. WE are the New Testament Church, not the "church of Christ" which is neither a church or of Christ
I am aware that the RCC and COC really cannot discuss many issues because the two group rely upon different standards. The COC takes the Bible and the Bible alone, whereas the RCC takes the Bible, plus. I do have some respect for the RCC because they admit such. So many groups presume to take the Bible alone, then twist the daylights out of it, yet ironically retain many RCC teachings which are not founded upon scripture, but upon RCC tradition. Space forbids citing numerous examples of this.
Not true. Bear in mind that NOWHERE in the Bible does it say that we should stick to the Bible alone. In fact, the Bible says exactly the opposite. Given the fact the Bible was written by the Roman Catholic Church, this is pretty logical.
>>"...the Bible was written by the Roman Catholic Church..."
...is not logical, and just NOT a fact. There was no such thing as your Catholic denomination at the time of the writing of the scriptures, except those which are deuterocanonical. There was no such thing as ANY denominations. Christians were just Christians. Nice try.
The fact that Jesus Himself and vitually all his Apostels ended up executed also helps support the claim of the often barbarous nature of the world 2,000yrs. Whilst Rome grasped well the "big picture" aspects of statehood, they often lacked terribly on "social policy". Jesus grasped this and hence His devine hand guided the Church to Rome through Peter. Rome was vigerous enough to handle Christianity and in time, Christianity would help refine Roman social policy.
I'm not Catholic (actually a member of the Church of Christ), but I could not agree more with your video! It is as if people are afraid to say what has been delivered in this video; most believe these comments to be judgmental. But the fact is, based on scriptures like Eph. 4, there is only ONE church. We may sound like fundamentalist hell-fire ministers when saying this, but it is a quoting of the Word of God, so I don't view it as passing judgment.
>> I'm not Catholic (actually a member of the Church of Christ), but I could not agree more with your video!
Thanks for the comment, but how can you agree with the video? We are saying that there is not Church BUT the Catholic Church. The so-called "church of Christ" is not a Church, and it is not the ONE true Church.
Actually, I'm just trying to say that I completely agree with the importance of the ONE true church, as Eph. 4 teaches us, and my telling you that I'm a member of the Church of Christ was to stress to readers that I am not biased, because I'm not Catholic. But since you mention it, actually, the Church of Christ IS the ONE TRUE CHURCH! Catholics cannot be of the body of Christ, especially if you object to solo scriptura and have your own traditions, not of God. Do you like that answer better?
>> Catholics cannot be of the body of Christ, especially if you object to solo scriptura and have your own traditions, not of God.
Sola Scriptura is not of God - in fact, the Bible specifically speaks against it! Sola Scriptura is refuted by the words of Paul which say to stick to Traditions BOTH oral AND written.
It is interesting that the phrase, "whether by word or epistle" is stated. Would not logic conclude that this would refer to oral tradition, the latter of which is mentioned in first half of that verse.
lol! Yeah, and Mormons and all their little cult spin-offs are Christians, right? And that book contains 242 'Catholic denominations,' which completely defeats your purpose in using that number.
I'd laugh at Protestants if I wasn't crying about the fact that they left the Church that Jesus founded to go to a false religion started by a sinful man.
I guess I just have more compassion for my fellow humans than you do? You post insults and laugh. How very Christian of you.
Jesus Christ is the truth some doctrines Catholic teach i dont feel that way 1 why the Pope called the holy one when i thought Jesus is the only Holy One Jesus never sinned also immaculate conception for Virgin Mary meaning she was born without original sin only Jesus was born without original sin the Bible teaches ALL HAVE SINNED if Virgin Mary was born without original sin then the Bible must lie ALL HAVE SINNED yes including MARY web. dictionary say that pope put that in the Church Doctrine
No, Jesus is HoliEST, but there are many people who are Holy. The Pope (as Christ's vicar on earth) is holy.
>> the Bible teaches ALL HAVE SINNED
Very true - does that mean that Jesus sinned? Because that is what ALL must mean? Unless that verse in hyperbole, as many other verses in the Bible are.
So if I have repented of my sin, received the holy spirit, pray to God, been baptized, confess my sins for forgiveness, study the bible for edification, I am still not a Christian because I don't attend a Catholic church? I though you were suppose to know a Christian by their fruits, not by what church they belong too? I need some explaining.
>> So if I have repented of my sin, received the holy spirit, pray to God, been baptized, confess my sins for forgiveness, study the bible for edification, I am still not a Christian because I don't attend a Catholic church?
No - you are a Christian (although many of the things you list are vague generalizations). But you are not a member of the one Church Jesus Christ founded personally unless you are a Catholic.
>> I wasn't sure what to say to prove Im a true believer, but ok I see thank you :)
Well, if you believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, God Himself and that He died for your sins, then you are Christian. But Jesus wants more than simply believing - that is why He founded a Church. He wants actions which are Christian - and one of those actions is being a member of the Church He founded.
I have been looking to all the first church business lately, but so far I'm leaning more towards the Orthodox church and still wondering if there even is a one true physical church. Maybe you could link me to a good site explaining why the RCC is the true church? Thanks in advance :)
My religon is more of a practice (In my point of view) but most consider Magick a religon. I am too confused by all the denominations and each Christian saying a different thing to know what the ways of a true Christian
would be. But you did state (to planset333) that only Catholisism follows everything Christ said. All other denominations say that too, so who am I supposed to believe!?
>> But you did state (to planset333) that only Catholisism follows everything Christ said. All other denominations say that too, so who am I supposed to believe!?
The ones telling the truth, the ones who follow exactly the same practices as the first Christians, and who have never changed their practices or beliefs. That would be the Catholics.
As for "magick" - you need to stop that IMMEDIATELY. You are simply digging yourself a pit in Hell.
A Christian, as the apostles of Christ are (Acts 11:26)
i put my trust in the Word of God which he has given to us (Romans 11:36) i dont put my trust in "MAN" like the early church fathers who were false teachers.. i dont put my trust in historical documents or science (Colossians 2:8) I trust Christ and his word
The Bible IS a historical document. The only reason you know it is inspired is because the Catholic Church says so. You are either poorly educated or a hypocrite - I suspect the first.
And the Church Fathers were false teachers? So who were the true teachers? Did they write nothing down? Please - your argument is ludicrous . . .
If Christian church splits, do some christians cease to be christian? Your answer is probably yes, SaintMichaelsMedia. What about Israel. What if they split too. Do some Israelites cease to be Israelites? Of course not! Whether the Israelites who split off are called Jews or not still make them Israelites and part of the body of God's holy people, the difference is whether they keep the faith and likewise it is the same with christians.
IT's True; the only 1 true churc is church ever lived which is catholic, and theirs no dout about the truth.

This seams more of a tool for division then communion.
ambiantshroom 6 months ago in playlist ONE TRUE CATHOLIC CHURCH
@ambiantshroom Indeed it was when Jesus first spoke about the Eucharist; read John 6. True communion means coming into communion with the Truth - NOT agreeing on some middle-of-the-road compromise that satisfies no-one and mingles truth with falsehood. If there is division because some people will not accep the Truth, that is a necessary sadness. We cannot compromise the truth for the sake of false communion.

Yes, you r right the only true church was built upon prophets and apostles, and that my friend is exactly what JesusChrist did when He chose Peter as the first apostle and eventually became the Rock of the church. That church was established about 2000 years ago.

SaintMichaelsMedia 1 year ago
@crustywalnutmedia "Accept" Jesus =) The point here is how to accept Him. Is it by just saying it? by just believing? how about by having Him in you by taking His Flesh and Blood? that's kind of more legit, isn't it?
ChrisDaron 1 year ago
@ChrisDaron It is certain the way Jesus SPECIFICALLY says to receive Him. I mean, that's kind of important, right? We are supposed to love Jesus. If my wife said she wanted to recieve roses, I would not be fully loving her if I bought her violets.
SaintMichaelsMedia 1 year ago
My mother accepted Christ in the Roman Catholic Church..Jesus followed her to a protestant church, he did not leave her alone after she left a church that believed in Trans-substitution.The Apostle's Creed also states that we are a Catholic Church (world-wide church). As a Jesus-follower i want to see unity! And according to the Vatican issued pamphlet "Prayer Intentions Of Pope Benedict XVI" says that unity among all Christians is necessary for effective proclamation of the gospel! GOD BLESS!
crustywalnutmedia 1 year ago
@crustywalnutmedia It is "transubstantiation" - and this just reveals your ignorance of the thing you discus and malign. Unity does not mean compromising our truth with the evil lies of Protestants! Unity, as you would know if you read the teaching of the Church, means Protestants and others agreeing with Rome and surrendering from their treachery against Christ.
I will pray for your mother, because she has thrown away the gift Christ gave the world.
SaintMichaelsMedia 1 year ago
If there's only one church, does that mean that others are wrong or incorrect? Maybe not totally, but partially. Anyways, how can u know that without reading the other's religions' books and talking with those who actually know these other religions?
rolingpingu 1 year ago
@rolingpingu Yes, if there is only one truth then anything which is different from that truth is incorrect. And it can be known by (as you say) study and also by simple logic; if something is true, one does not need to know all other posibilities to know they are wrong. If you know 2 + 2 = 4, you do not need to study all the other (infinite number of) wrong answers to know they are wrong; it is simple logic to say that which is not true is false.
SaintMichaelsMedia 1 year ago

V1catapult 1 year ago
@V1catapult It is a fact (and not my opinion) there IS no such infallible doctrine. The selling of indulgences is and always has been wrong and not permitted. It is also impossible - anyone paying for an indulgence does not get one. So, I cannot answer your question because it assumes facts not in evidence (and reveals your ignorance). The selling of indulgences is impossible and anyone who tried is wrong and evil.

If your church is the only perfect church, why do you have people who are not perfect within your walls? And teaching your "perfect" doctrine?
fireangel1732 1 year ago
@fireangel1732 For the same reason Jesus had a disciple who sold him out; humans are not perfect, but the TEACHING is perfect. Humans can do evil things and belong to a good organization. For example, you like videos which contain horrible swear words in their title - but you are presumably a Christian. That doesn't mean Christianity is evil and promoting of swearing.

999Thip 1 year ago
@999Thip Yes - Jesus is the truth. And ONLY the Catholic Church teaches the full truth about Jesus Christ. You would know NOTHING about Jesus were it not for the Church, as the Church wrote the Gospels and preserved the Bible. You wouldn't have the Bible if it weren't for the Church.
How ungrateful you are! Rejecting the very thing Jesus left behind for you!
SaintMichaelsMedia 1 year ago
@999Thip Jesus founded a Church, in case you haven't noticed.
Clearer example: you have a friend. Your BEST friend whom you love so much. You meet him everywhere, right? but how about when he invites you to his house? when he wants you to meet his parents? He has a HOUSE where he lives and where you can see him.
Jesus is everywhere, indeed, but the only place you can find in and have him IN YOU is in the Catholic Church, where you take HIS BLOOD and BODY.
ChrisDaron 1 year ago
@999Thip Have you never read Matthew 16: 16-19? Jesus established HIS CHURCH upon Peter and gave him the Keys to the Kingdom of Heaven. That was the beginning of the Catholic Church. No Protestant church can trace their roots back further than 500 years ago. Jesus established His Church to carry out His instructions and teachings, which it has done for these past 2000 years. The Catholic Church was established by Christ himself. Your church was established by a man. My choice is JESUS' CHURCH.

It's Novus Ordo; the fact he can't SPELL what he is maligning ignorantly tells me all I need to know
SaintMichaelsMedia 1 year ago
I will not tollerate so-called soi-dissant "Catholics" who reject teachings of the Church here. We call those who reject Trent Protestants; I see no reason to treat those who reject Vatican II and the teachings of the pope in any different way.
I only left this comment here and responded to show that we do NOT think in such a false and evil manner as to reject teachings of the Church.
SaintMichaelsMedia 1 year ago 6
@defgill -- Other faiths are "somewhat valid" because they hold to some valid doctrines such as the Trinity and the Divinity of Jesus, but of course we want them to have ALL truth and that is only found in the Holy Catholic Church (not Sedaventist).
Thunderhead889 1 year ago
@defgill -- And the saying that there is no salvation outside the church means that the Grace of God is not actually confined to our church but can extend beyond where you think it is limited. How else do you think we get converts if the grace of God does not venture outside the His Church?

There is one true Gospel and one true faith but as for the one true Church? A church as described in the Bible is an assembly of believer's.
The early mother Church was in Jerusalem and not Rome.
The early believer's belonged to a sect called the Way.
Any Church that perverts the Gospel of Christ is accursed. Even Paul stated as such that if he or anyone even if the Angels were to proclaim another gospel that they are anathema.

SaintMichaelsMedia 2 years ago
A false gospel is one that adds works to faith. Either you are under the law or under grace. You cannot be under both simultaneously. If you choose to go back under the law after you have been saved by grace then you nullify the law. If you break part of the law then you are guilty of breaking the whole law. No one can keep the law perfectly except Christ. That is why you need grace. Grace is unmerited favor and cannot be earned or worked for.

He that is born of flesh is flesh, and he that's born of Spirit is spirit. The first time you were born, you came through the water of your mother's womb (water broken)..being born AGAIN, you must be born again through God's Spirit..there's your water and your Spirit right there.

Now, explain why you are against solo scriptura.
rachrach50 3 years ago
>> Now, explain why you are against solo scriptura.
Because THE BIBLE is against sola scriptura - the Bible says to stick to oral Traditions!
And it is funny that you quote Rev 22:18-20! When it was the Protestants who REMOVED books from the Bible! The seven deuterocanonical books (part of the Jewish scriptures Jesus used) were in the earliest lists of Scripture produced in the 2nd century.
SaintMichaelsMedia 3 years ago
Rev 22:18-20 is nothing to do with sola scriptura - it merely says that we should not change the scriptures.
Which, of course, your denomination did. Or rather, your denomination swallowed Luther's lies just like everyone else.
SaintMichaelsMedia 3 years ago
At the time that was written Revelations was not bound up with the scriptures first of all so you take it out of context. Don't you use Bible commentaries? Sola scirptura is never mentioned in the Bible. Scritpure + tradition is 2 tHes 2:15
imromancatholic 3 years ago
Also agree with 99% of your video with the exception of the "dark, barbarous world that the (Roman) Catholic church stepped into 2,000 years ago." Of course, that's just an assertion and cannot be proven - not by the Bible, anyway. Otherwise, you state our position (the church of Christ) fairly well.
bjobe1964 3 years ago
>> Of course, that's just an assertion and cannot be proven - not by the Bible, anyway.
No, the Bible is pretty quiet on that issue. But science, history, archaeology, literary study, logic and all of that sort of stuff prove our point :)
When you say "the church of Christ" do you mean The Roman Catholic Church? 'Cause the OTHER organization(s) which call themselves "the church of Christ" i) aren't Churches and ii) aren't "of Christ".
SaintMichaelsMedia 3 years ago
I believe my original text was a reply to a specific statement. The church established on the day of Pentecost in AD 33 was indeed "catholic" or to be "catholic". The Church of Christ simply seeks to restore simple, SIMPLE New Testament Christianity which had been corrupted - and it was the so-called RCC that did most of the corrupting. Then the reformers sought to "reform" or "protest" something which could not be reformed. That still doesn't deny the fact that most of your post is agreeable.
bjobe1964 3 years ago
>> That still doesn't deny the fact that most of your post is agreeable.
Your post, unfortunately, is not. It is disagreeable because it is not true.
>> it was the so-called RCC that did most of the corrupting.
Do you have any evidence for this? Because the writings of the Church Fathers, the original Christians, show that they believed exactly what the Roman Catholic Church believes. WE are the New Testament Church, not the "church of Christ" which is neither a church or of Christ
SaintMichaelsMedia 3 years ago
I am aware that the RCC and COC really cannot discuss many issues because the two group rely upon different standards. The COC takes the Bible and the Bible alone, whereas the RCC takes the Bible, plus. I do have some respect for the RCC because they admit such. So many groups presume to take the Bible alone, then twist the daylights out of it, yet ironically retain many RCC teachings which are not founded upon scripture, but upon RCC tradition. Space forbids citing numerous examples of this.
bjobe1964 3 years ago
>> The COC takes the Bible and the Bible alone
Not true. Bear in mind that NOWHERE in the Bible does it say that we should stick to the Bible alone. In fact, the Bible says exactly the opposite. Given the fact the Bible was written by the Roman Catholic Church, this is pretty logical.
SaintMichaelsMedia 3 years ago
>>"...the Bible was written by the Roman Catholic Church..."
...is not logical, and just NOT a fact. There was no such thing as your Catholic denomination at the time of the writing of the scriptures, except those which are deuterocanonical. There was no such thing as ANY denominations. Christians were just Christians. Nice try.
rachrach50 3 years ago
>> There was no such thing as your Catholic denomination at the time of the writing of the scriptures, except those which are deuterocanonical.
The Deuterocanonicals were written before Christ was born - you demonstrate your ignorance of scriptural history with that statement.
And the first Christians were Catholic.

Wasn't parts of 2nd Machabees written within 50 years before the birth of Christ?
I heard that first and second Machabees was writen between 130bc-35bc.

It's refreshing to see your video!
rachrach50 3 years ago
>> I'm not Catholic (actually a member of the Church of Christ), but I could not agree more with your video!
Thanks for the comment, but how can you agree with the video? We are saying that there is not Church BUT the Catholic Church. The so-called "church of Christ" is not a Church, and it is not the ONE true Church.
SaintMichaelsMedia 3 years ago
Actually, I'm just trying to say that I completely agree with the importance of the ONE true church, as Eph. 4 teaches us, and my telling you that I'm a member of the Church of Christ was to stress to readers that I am not biased, because I'm not Catholic. But since you mention it, actually, the Church of Christ IS the ONE TRUE CHURCH! Catholics cannot be of the body of Christ, especially if you object to solo scriptura and have your own traditions, not of God. Do you like that answer better?
rachrach50 3 years ago
>> Catholics cannot be of the body of Christ, especially if you object to solo scriptura and have your own traditions, not of God.
Sola Scriptura is not of God - in fact, the Bible specifically speaks against it! Sola Scriptura is refuted by the words of Paul which say to stick to Traditions BOTH oral AND written.

If I may ask, to which versus do you refer?
Thank you in advance.
Mechanized0 2 years ago
I Corinthians 11:2, II Thessalonians 2:15 and 3:16 are some of them.
SaintMichaelsMedia 2 years ago
"Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle."
---- II Thessalonians 2:15
It is interesting that the phrase, "whether by word or epistle" is stated. Would not logic conclude that this would refer to oral tradition, the latter of which is mentioned in first half of that verse.

lol at the '40,000 denominations' idea. It's not a good idea to do statistics while intoxicated with mind altering drugs.

Nor is it a good idea to post on YouTube comments. Those figures come from the Encylopedia of Religion and are widely agreed to be entirely accurate.
SaintMichaelsMedia 3 years ago
lol! Yeah, and Mormons and all their little cult spin-offs are Christians, right? And that book contains 242 'Catholic denominations,' which completely defeats your purpose in using that number.
Romanists like yourself really crack me up.
Daninkorea 3 years ago
You need to learn some manners.
>> Mormons and all their little cult spin-offs are Christians
Nope, but they do come from Protestantism. That would be YOUR fault, there.
>> that book contains 242 'Catholic denominations
Because it counts by country as well as theology - given the fact that each individual country Church is, in fact, loyal to Rome proves me point.
SaintMichaelsMedia 3 years ago
>> Romanists like yourself really crack me up.
I'd laugh at Protestants if I wasn't crying about the fact that they left the Church that Jesus founded to go to a false religion started by a sinful man.
I guess I just have more compassion for my fellow humans than you do? You post insults and laugh. How very Christian of you.
Score one more for the RCC, I guess.

Robn22hi 3 years ago
>> Jesus is the only Holy One
No, Jesus is HoliEST, but there are many people who are Holy. The Pope (as Christ's vicar on earth) is holy.
>> the Bible teaches ALL HAVE SINNED
Very true - does that mean that Jesus sinned? Because that is what ALL must mean? Unless that verse in hyperbole, as many other verses in the Bible are.
>> web. dictionary say that pope put that in
The internet is not always a good source :)

HonourTheHolyOne 3 years ago
>> so far I'm leaning more towards the Orthodox church
The main difference between the Orthodox Church and the Catholic Church is the issue of Petrine Primacy (the pope).
We have loads of good information on our website - check out the link in the show description and find the "Resources" section.
Alternatively, give us a call! Our telephone number is on the website! We'd be happy to help.

Which religion? Your profile doesn't give much information - although I suspect you aren't a member of the Westbro Baptists!

My religon is more of a practice (In my point of view) but most consider Magick a religon. I am too confused by all the denominations and each Christian saying a different thing to know what the ways of a true Christian
would be. But you did state (to planset333) that only Catholisism follows everything Christ said. All other denominations say that too, so who am I supposed to believe!?
setustraight 3 years ago
>> But you did state (to planset333) that only Catholisism follows everything Christ said. All other denominations say that too, so who am I supposed to believe!?
The ones telling the truth, the ones who follow exactly the same practices as the first Christians, and who have never changed their practices or beliefs. That would be the Catholics.
As for "magick" - you need to stop that IMMEDIATELY. You are simply digging yourself a pit in Hell.

Yes, and ONLY Catholics follow every single piece of what Christ commanded.
Tell me, if you're not Protestant and you're not Catholic, what are you? I doubt you are Orthodox - JW? 7DA? LDS?

A Christian, as the apostles of Christ are (Acts 11:26)
i put my trust in the Word of God which he has given to us (Romans 11:36) i dont put my trust in "MAN" like the early church fathers who were false teachers.. i dont put my trust in historical documents or science (Colossians 2:8) I trust Christ and his word
(2 John 9)
planset333 3 years ago
>> i dont put my trust in historical documents
The Bible IS a historical document. The only reason you know it is inspired is because the Catholic Church says so. You are either poorly educated or a hypocrite - I suspect the first.
And the Church Fathers were false teachers? So who were the true teachers? Did they write nothing down? Please - your argument is ludicrous . . .

Let me ask a question:
If Christian church splits, do some christians cease to be christian? Your answer is probably yes, SaintMichaelsMedia. What about Israel. What if they split too. Do some Israelites cease to be Israelites? Of course not! Whether the Israelites who split off are called Jews or not still make them Israelites and part of the body of God's holy people, the difference is whether they keep the faith and likewise it is the same with christians.
