All evidence shows that Hammas is not willing to make such consents. If it were, then there would be no political difference between it and the Fatach movement (Palestinian authority), and there would be no reason for conflict between them.

@elsblaugranas First, there are no neighborhoods for Jews only, certainly not official ones. A Muslim can buy real estate anywhere in Israel and live anywhere. Yes, there are a few places who have "entrance committees", who evidently prefer Jewish applicants, but there has recently been a supreme court ruling against this.
Discrimination against minorities in Israel is illegal, and any company or person applying it can be sued, but sometimes it is difficult to prove in court.

As for percentage of territory - On it's article about Israeli settlements, Wikipedia states that "the actual buildings of the settlements cover just 1% of the West Bank".
C area does cover a large percentage of the west bank... to be cont.
C areas do take up a large amount of the west bank, but Israel has already offered to almost fully withdraw from most of them, as a part of a comprehensive peace agreement. for instance PM Olmert has offered to withdraw from 95% of the territory + 1:1 land swap for the rest.
So as you can see, C areas are just a temporary buffer zone, needed in order to maintain security until a final agreement is reached.

All and all these take up only some 3% of the west bank, and Israel has offered to swap them for other lands, in the southern west bank.

@elsblaugranas First, there are no neighborhoods for Jews only, certainly not official ones. A Muslim can buy real estate anywhere in Israel and live anywhere. Yes, there are a few places who have "entrance committees", who evidently prefer Jewish applicants, but there has recently been a supreme court ruling against this.
Discrimination against minorities in Israel is illegal, and any company or person applying it can be sued, but sometimes it is difficult to prove in court.

As for percentage of territory - On it's article about Israeli settlements, Wikipedia states that "the actual buildings of the settlements cover just 1% of the West Bank".
C area does cover a large percentage of the west bank... to be cont.

C areas do take up a large amount of the west bank, but Israel has already offered to almost fully withdraw from most of them, as a part of a comprehensive peace agreement. for instance PM Olmert has offered to withdraw from 95% of the territory + 1:1 land swap for the rest.
So as you can see, C areas are just a temporary buffer zone, needed in order to maintain security until a final agreement is reached.

The only construction done nowadays is in existing settlements, by existing residents who wish to expand their houses, or build new schools etc. The government cannot possibly deny them these rights, so long as the disputed territory is under negotiations.
There is also some construction in Jewish neighborhoods in Jerusalem.
All and all these take up only some 3% of the west bank, and Israel has offered to swap them for other lands, in the southern west bank.

In my view it's significance is being deliberately exaggerated by the Palestinian side, in order to explain for their reluctance to sit down and negotiate.
Abu-Mazen has refused to negotiate for the past two years, which includes an entire year in which all construction in the settlements has been completely frozen, as a gesture.

@Soupaman219 those are facts nothing to do with me or my logic, and you can say what you want but min. don't lie, over 50 millions die in WW2 not 100 million. 6 million of the Jews, this war was mostly Christians against Christians and I think they learned from this, (well most of them) , wile Islam world didn't learn nothing, well maybe they did learned how to be better totalitarians look at Iran its a Totalitarian religious regime worst then what the Nazis were and much more dangerous...

A prima facie example of the insanity found within the Qur'an is the fascist, warlike notion of "Jihad," its a violent military action (even terrorism) against the non-Muslim. If you don't quite believe this, visit Ground Zero where New York City's World Trade Center once stood!

The US goverment has fund Genocide in places like Guatemala, Caused economic collapse in Haiti, and dropped REAL NUKES on Japan.
