she stayed afloat, and we got her from Texas to Singapore around the Cape of Africa. the legs are what go down to pick the rig up out of the water for drilling. the rig is called a jack up.
like the video, its the long rolling swell that does it a short swell packed together tighter woud not have been so bad eh? Ive been on some pretty funky moves but this one is good going.
As much as she rolled , it was pretty stable. she over hung the barge 50 feet each side. and she only dipped the outer edges a few times . mostly around the Cape (South Africa) She was heading to Asia for overhaul.. The stand up legs were pretty stable. and we had no problems. the last one we toed via this way , the rig lost all her legs in bad weather and beat up the barge a little.
