Just because you were black, doesn't mean you are against god.... i hate that people, and religious kooks assume that. You know the style originated centuries ago when we discovered how to dye our clothes black which was rare back then. Only the rich had black or purple clothing, then the color (which is a tint) was affordable in the average and poor class.

I found that site a little while back. I got so angry and fired up, I wrote a lengthy letter trying to counter all the claims made on the site. About 10 minutes before I hit the "send" button, I stumbled upon the disclaimer. Feeling like an idiot, I deleted my message and walked away from the computer for a little while. I definately agree with you. They should put it somewhere more obvious. I'm just glad I was lucky enough to find it before hitting send.

I actually went on the site, and I clicked on the "Goths" link, and I read the letter, the greeting part, I remember, really pissed me off, it said "Dear Loser" and throught the whole letter, I was getting angeir. Just so you know, real Christians aren't like that, on the website. In fact, if you were to read the bible, true Christianity is non-judgmental, and recognizes that everyone is equal when it comes to sin. Actually, looking at the history, I see lots of different types of Christianity. Most types of Christianity out there, especially the ones you are referring to, are wrong in the fact that they get things from everywhere BUT the bible. If you want to talk about history, look at Martin Luther's laws that he nailed to the church door. That's about as basic as you can get on TRUE Christianity. There's more to it than you're explaining.

I grew up with it and loved it with true and pure heart in fact, so much so until I read the whole book. How do you get passed it? I will make it a point to search within the old testament for these things. I have heard of the atrocities mentioned within it, but never have I heard of it promoting such atrocities. I think whoever made that website either did it with a lot of other people or spent too much time on it. It's a bit obcessive, to say the least.

My guess as to why the disclaimer is not more upforward is that it would make it obvious that the site is basically ridiculing christianity as a whole.

However funny some parts were (not too much) I think the site was just tasteless and the biggest problem with it is that some people will read it and take it seriously, which is far from a good thing.
