  • It is true Fresco, you know and believe in what you are saying. But as you rightly know, human beings understand (need) brute force.. Something uncontrollable of an ET to change their ways. i mostly agree with your views about production and resource utilization...however, the majority of human race like to live a class society based on resource (privilege) alocation or power to grab and control...

  • ...The real reason for mans behavior is....We were created by ET, yes, aliens and long ago, the mixing of our DNA with theirs has caused an imbalance in our original thinking, that's why we act so different to other species, why we do harm to other animals & the environment, the earthling side of us, is fighting to regain its original form in both physical and mental, we have the alien mind now, and it's real odd! Maybe the experiment's gone wrong, and that's why we are so destructive!!

  • astonishing the ammount of views this has had, should be in the billions.we must make a better world for us all,its the only logical step.long live jacque fresco.peace and unity

  • Roman Times!!! ... That was the shit! I am very sad for the world that the Roman Empire fell... we needed 1000 years to come back to the same level ;( PLEASE WORLD DON'T FUCK UP AGAIN!!!

  • @2RayneR7 Watch what you really are asking for. Imagine the scientific, technological and secular developments that we have to benefit from today that were absent back then. Sure, it's not necessarily only an upward movement; we have regressed probably. But I think you may be romanticizing the past using the experiences that you have had in your life, shaping you to who you are now. If you were in ancient Rome, you wouldn't be the same person you are now, but vastly different.

  • @ErikWithBrain What i mean is imagine how far we would have been if we have not fallen down into the gutter for a 1000 years. Imagine if the Roman Empire did not fall. Imagine if the Dark Ages didn't happen. Of course i would not be the same person. I would not possibly be able to have the information i have today back then and wouldn't know of the past mistakes of humanity since they haven't been made yet. I meant the same level of Civilization. Technological or scientific ....

  • @2RayneR7 ... advancement do not equal civilization. Just because someone has a computer right now and is on the internet right now doesn't mean he is as civilized as a roman patrician or as a knight or a samurai or maybe someone else from history. To be honest i kinda lost the point because i watched this vid some time ago and i kinda forgot the points made haha

  • War made the world a civilized place. :) No further comment.

  • @2RayneR7 ...If "War made the world a civilized place"...then what were we before war? If uncivilized, then why? I can only see that war brought advancement in technology, that still doesn't make us civilized does it?!

  • @silversurfers7 Let me first put it straight. I am talking about real wars. That actually pushed us to advance. I do not mean pointless violence and bullshit. Because that is the pinnacle of uncivilized behavior pointing out at Venezuela, Thailand , Somalia and well most of the Middle East. The Big wars. without WW2 we wouldn't be using cars so widely. Space exploration would not have started. Computers? Microwaves? Atomic Energy. About now we would maybe started inventing them.

  • @2RayneR7 ....I disagree totally in your words explaining that we would never have gotten where we are today without war! There are many inventions that have been made without the need for it to be used for war, a lot of those inventions were used by nations to be used and modified/upgraded for war! Some inventions were created by the military, but many were not. Check out those inventions.

  • @silversurfers7 And now look at the ultimate theoretical war "The Cold War". Though with no real fighting it made the world better (ok mostly cuz communism died). No more wars between European nations. Sure yeah Serbia was acting all idiotic but that got fixed by the USA. But thats how stuff get fixed. With a big BOOM and then peace and prosperity. Everything else is slow death. And the other way - Violence all the time like in the mIddle east is totally unacceptable :)! It is very complicated.

  • @2RayneR7 ...Hmmmm, just a few years back, the "Good old USA," wanted to place missiles back on the boarders of other countries that boarder with Russia, (In Europe, Poland) this caused outcry from Russia, so your..." No more wars between European nations.”...Nearly started again! And all due to the poking-nose into other countries affairs by the "Good old USA!!"

  • People really are ok with war. As long as they don't die in one.

  • As a cultural anthropologist, i came to the conclusion we are not yet civilized. Pretty disheartening. The Search goes on...

  • @qqqq1920 considering what you have taken from Jacque fresco, you seem to unfortunately have a stubborn narrow mind. Please try to listen to what he says with a more open mind though. His ideas all come from a mindset not many people can comprehend due to the way the system has interfered with their upbringings. Mostly everything I have seen or heard him "preach" has been something completely scientifically logical. His ideas state that he wants humanity to reach legitimate prosperity.Religion?

  • @qqqq1920 There is great coherence in what Jacque is saying, he's speaking collectively about the prodigal endeavors of our society, he is as the video terms it "pragmatic", he developed a system built upon objective fact not sentimental bigotry and doctrine. All he is saying is we are a culture that puts recreation and emotions before our own survival and social function and we've not developed a system in which we can sustain ourselves under in a precocious manner, thats why we're uncivilized.

  • @qqqq1920 without any coherance? Preachy? You're an idiot.

  • @qqqq1920 I think this is a compilation video someone made from a longer seminar with Jacque. It all made sense to me, it all tied in with being civilized.

  • @qqqq1920 Well for one he always ask, do you understand what I'm saying? He would rather you say something if you didn't agree. Well to me, I thought he was just saying that the idea of individualism is a facade today you can't be different, how could you?

  • @qqqq1920 Jacque is giving a speech and telling his way of seeing things. It's up to the audience and you to decide whether you agree with him or not. No one is forcing you to see things his way.

  • To compare Boxing and Football to feeding Christians to lions is absolutely absurd. The boxer and the football player willfully decided to play football or to box. The Christian was forcefully fed to the lion.

  • @TheCatfishClayton So? It's not about that. Thats an example to talk about the ridicoulness of our value system...go to a stadium just to see a bunch of people cracking their heads up...just like houndred of years ago...sorry my english tho.

  • @TheCatfishClayton Eh, I thought it was more about how people come in masses to watch absurd things, not the actual comparison between two events.

  • @blackpanther6389 Perhaps, but I think his view of sports is ridiculous. However, with that said. I think that the people who put all their focus on that sort of thing and none of it on real world issues can be labeled as mentally ill for sure.

  • We are worst than any animal on earth and then we think we are better than the animals! Look what they are doing to the Middle East! They con-Saddam, they trapped him and then they hang him for the world to see, they took all valuable of IRAK, AND THEY TREAT ITS PEOPLE WORST THAN THEIR DOGS! USA IS AT ITS END, THAT IS THE NATURE OF LIFE...BY THE WAY, THEY DID NOT KILL OSSAMA, THEY ARE STILL TORTURING HIM....

  • Sounds very utopian. Warm and cuddly. Prove it will work. You've thought about it long enough. Set up a small independent town, limit your resource requirements, and show that it can be a success. Let us all know how it goes.

  • @ChipArgyle close minded fool

  • @jsvkia1 Whoa! You're still way to close to the beginning of this highly theoretical concept to start insulting people. I didn't say anything close minded at all. I merely said show that it works. You can't ask everyone to throw out the entire existing system and jump into an unproven concept. That would be irrational. I've seen lots of preaching about this concept, yet haven't seen a working model yet. So, shut up and get on with it. Then tell us how it works out.

  • @ChipArgyle people will try to exploit this system too, cuz they will know that its just an experiment.

testing must be done on something like a penal colony or an African tribe.

  • @rebelpy Neither one of your suggestions is a good model for a normally functioning modern society with a vibrant economy. That would be like watching the sex habits of a prison population and assuming that situational homosexuality rates amongst a bunch of caged people with inordinately high rates of mental and socialization problems directly correlates to the rest of society. Oh wait. That's exactly what they did.

    Carry on.

  • Okay, what you are describing is a leisure time recreational activity in which a competitive game just happens to be "played" for "fun" and not taken seriously.

This however is NOT the modern day definition of sports where you have professional career players, coaches, trainers and team managers and is taken VERY seriously to the point where fans will riot in the streets if a home team loses.

Again, prof. sports taken to it's logical end point is this:

    youtube[dot]com / watch?v=iu4BX5JJvro

  • I find it evident that you and I come from differnt countries and thus have a different approach to what the definition of sports.

I am aware of hooligans(as we call them in sweden) and that they are a mennice to society, but the relevant question is: Are their behaviour a product of the fact that some other men play soccer or is there an other reason to that they behave like assholes? I believe the latter one.

  • "Education is the vaccine for violence"

    Thumbs up.

  • what were the tools (software etc) used to produce this piece? Some fine text animation here! *LIKED*

  • that shaq quote was pretty funny lol

  • after watching that I can already tell I'm going to get obsessed with this guys lectures

  • this is a great video and jacque is one of todays great thinkers but the venus project will never get off the ground as long as he is alive . just like karl marx one of the worlds greatest thinkers shunned and exiled but after his death his philosophy changed the world . same may be true for jacque fresco but it will be another 20 years after his death before people take this seriously .great idea though.

  • Great videos, love it, please join the Venus Expressions Media :) for the The Venus Project :)

  • (american southern accent) "ima get me them 2 dislikes an ima gonna kick their ass"

  • "in the future all judges will be arrested"

BUT CMON! Isn´t that not taking into consideration why they did behave like they did, isn´t that not taking into consideration what made them "the way they are".

  • "What´s the matter with sports?"

Well, there are multitudes of positive aspects both psycolocialy, physiolocialy, psyco-psyiologicaly and it is a great way of meeting people. If you´re fit it´s a whole lot easier to be healty. I don´t see any problem with being inspired by people who preform better than you do if that would motivate you to keep training. Nevertheless I do agree that it is profanity that top athletes make absurde amounts of money.

  • @inretorisk The absurd amounts allow many who could be doctors dream to be that athlete instead. The benefits it brings and the simplicity it sends and inspires. It is entertainment, but fearful if many want to be the entertainer as well and provide nothing for the future to sustain the future. Less light onto those that continue triviality, and more focus to inspire people and letting them seek bettering and preserving life, bringing more people to that field. Since we all are culture-driven

  • @inretorisk Really? I do chin ups and push ups everyday so I'm quite fit without sports. I don't need to "better" myself by being a "winner" and beating a "loser" on the other team. Now, if you were a sadistic bastard that takes pleasure in defeating your opponent in competitive games where there always have to be a winner vs. a loser that's another story.

  • @technatezin

Last weekend I did a competition(running) and I won and was in the lead the whole race, but still I was not happy of my own efforts. I few weeks earlier I ran a slightly different distance and was WAY behind the winner but was still madly satisfied. The reason is that one can objectively measure ones effort hence my "time" was better on the latter race and I believe that this is my point: It is not winning that is the most important, it is the development. Other people: Inspiration.

  • @inretorisk That's not the point. The entire "philosophy" of competitive sports is to better one self against an opponent that you must "beat". It is not about self-improvement. Further, it produces one-dimensional characters in which you are "not happy" until you are the best at only one particular or field be it sports or something else. You cannot have all worthy "winners" in competitive games no matter how high of a standard you set for the participants. Somebody will have to be the "loser".

  • @technatezin

"You cannot have all worthy "winners" in competitive games no matter how high of a standard you set for the participants. Somebody will have to be the "loser"."

I missed to adress this: No, as long as you can "compete against yourself" and meassure your efforts it is not relevant. If that would be the case no one would do sports, however people still do it for their own enjoyment. There is a saying: "Winning is nice, but to participate is more important."

  • @inretorisk Take this "philosophy" of competitive sports to it's logical conclusion and you'll end up with a brutal society like Sparta where the "weak" babies are thrown off cliffs and infants are taken away from their families to train in brutal military academies. The reason why Sparta didn't last as a society and all that was produced from that type of society was psychopathic warmongers who dreamed of a "glorious" death in battle was for a reason.

  • @technatezin

Well in the sports culture where I am brought up no one is forced to participate and everyone is welcome. And I do mean everyone despite what level you are at as long as you aren´t an asshole. Of course you will need to spend a lot of time training to make something of it, but no one will ridicule you because you´re no good. Your description of "competetive sports" witch is not about sport at all but about killing people is extremly foreign to me in every single way.

  • I do see Jaques cocern about boxing, nevertheless I´ve red a paper not so long ago showing that if you wear proper equipment(amatuer boxing) such as helmets then it´s really not that bad and no, amteur boxers don´t become significantly more "menatly ill later on" than other people. However proboxing is significantly more harmful for the brain since you don´t wear protection. In fact I´m going to suggest that amateur boxing has possitive effects for the brain compared to sitting on your ass.

  • A Lot of good thoughts on this video, but I lost my idealism years ago. The human race is done as a species-about 20% of human beings are good, but the other 80% are total assholes. Majority rules. You can forget about change.

  • OMG Dude you can't imagine how many times I've been fucked over because I trusted people so much. Even my own grandmother took advantage of me for money. when my mother was murder when I was six, my grandmother took custody of me just so she could get the $150,000 plus that was left for me. I didn't get a dime.

  • My GOD this man is soo on point

  • fascinating

  • Jacque i will be very sad when you die one day....hope that moment will wait for at least a decade :)).Either way your work will never die

  • hello! thanks for this beautiful video. is there going to be a dvd torrent release for this lecture? with english subtitles? that would be awesome. or will you maybe add the full lecture here on youtube?

  • Wonderfully done, thank you!

  • peter joseph merola does not dislike the kkk

  • @brahmbhattbhavna And Obama is actually white, right?

  • This man is a genious! He should get a Nobel prize!

  • "...if the goal of humanity is still lacking, is there not also still lacking - humanity itself?"

  • Nice ideal the VP... but little or any talk on getting from here to there. What transition?

  • @lowcoststart Hi low, you can research the very questions you have @ the venust project.com and also have a look at Peter Joseph's podcasts" just google the both and they will give you a concise answer as to how the movements will be engaged in terms of a transition. Just be mindful of something of this magnitude is no easy task, it is basically asking the sleepy masses to wake up! before all of humanity takes a dirt nap with the dinosaur so the answer is a difficult one to chew on. ; )

  • great video

  • Fresco is the man!

  • live*

  • Every one needs to start today. Everyone of you ! Every things starts with the first step. Make the first step today by introducing other people like your friends, parents and collegues about the Venus Project and involve them by asking how they would imagine to like in such a great world. Learn about new technologies on the weblike about free energy, recycling nanotech ect, and raise your kids with those values.Masdar city is an similar place.

Thanks for posting Grubernick, have a great live

  • nice editing and camera, what kind of camera is this? i just watched a video about Udet on YT channel ChannelingusIV

  • awesome video and informative, thanks for the hard work man, it's apreciated, keep us informed.

  • I never get tired of earing this man.

  • I hope we make it.

  • visit the Venus Project website and buy his books? Then I cant help to wonder arent you Mr Jacque Fresco just doing this for profit? Same system that you say is dated but you still exploit for your gain? Sorry I was behind the venus project 100% till I saw the store. Sorry you and the venus project will never get off the ground if this is the approach taken. You have failed before you have started.

  • @danielcisco You cannot survive today without money, he must use capitalism tools to share his initiative. You try to cut down trees and make paper out of them, make your own ink, your home made printing machine, without money, It's impossible . Now you know why he needs money. Try to think it out .

  • I love the video, but one thing I wouldn't have put up is a quote from one of histories greatest tyrants... but then again people take quotes from the most horrible psycopath in all fiction, God

  • @javonne You might not have catched on the sarcasm. First, at 4:29, a quote demeans "it's not whether you win or lose that counts", implying that only losers try to justify their failures by valuing the process rather than the result.

To contrast and undermine it, at 4:34 you have another quote, "Success is the sole earthly judge of right and wrong", which just sounds specious. It is a radical embodiment of "the ends justify the means". That Hitler voiced it only drives the point home.

  • hell of a great video! clear picture, good text animation, good soundtrack and above all, good information!

  • hell of a great video! clear picture, good text animation, and above all, good information!

  • your videos are great, keep them coming :)

  • It is a privilege to listen to such a clear mind. Minds that are close to zero dogmatism are gems to treasure.

  • Excellent!!!

  • I just purchased the new movie "Frequency of Genius" that features Jacque and others...can't want to watch it! frequencyofgenius com

  • I saw Jacque Fresco and Rosanne speak in Brisbane this year and they were just so fantastic. I have admired Jacque Fresco for may years.

  • Seeing Christians being fed to lions sounds pretty good to me

  • @StuLuminos Is there such a thing as a "Christian", or are there really only "People"?

  • @tzmsd it's called a joke

  • Cool, nice to see more and more people

  • Who are you Grubernick? I thought Tom was editing the Video from graz, I'm Andrew one of the Chapter Coordinators from Vienna, thanks for the work anyways are you doing the video now?

  • @MegaMindgames

I'm gonna do another short video. Tom is going to provide the long one.

  • LOL!!! (Immo get me uh nigga, and i go kick his ass in.) He said that like he had experience.

  • @haqi9fly

He actually does. Jacque Fresco joined the KKK many years ago for the soul purpose of trying to re-establish the members' values. You'd be interested to know that he was really successful :)

  • I'm a big fan of TVP and TZM, but I caught something in here that confused me. Jacque said, "all judges would be arrested in the future" This conflicts with his vision of a future without laws, police and prisons. Does it not?

  • @rspaulding

I think, he meant it in a theoretical way - the same way G. Washington the slaveowner and K. Solomon the bigamist would be arrested today.

Of course there won't be any judges to arrest :)

  • @rspaulding 90 percent of laws are irrelevant... all laws derive from canon law, from that fucking church... we have a NATURAL LAW... period..

  • @rspaulding yes it was just sarcasm the fact is there is no need for it in the future just like king Solomon

  • No... He said if their was a such thing as justice then all judges would be arrested in the future for judging people based on their action that have been shape by their environment. I can I help you guys with editing videos?

  • @rspaulding I agree that it does conflict but I also believe that we need law enforcement in the future as a resource based economy cannot and will not cure the mentally ill such as rapists, serial killers etc.

  • @Larry4169 Sure, but today's "law enforcement" is more about letting bullies with mean streak hide behind a badge while they impose their authoritarian will on people through violence and intimidation. If a police officer is murdered then there's a elaborate funeral ceremony for the dead officer as if he's a superhuman hero with no moral flaws.

Also, with humans being humans (corruptable) there are no independent body of observers and scrutineers to guard against police group think and abuse.

  • @Larry4169 (cont.) Even if there was a need for law enforcement, stopping violent or inappropriate actions could be accomplished with a lot more effective tools given the technology we have. Also, given that any crime has some motive behind it be it financial or emotional when was the last time you have seen other professionals like psychologists attached to a front line police unit like patrol officers? The current "justice" system was NEVER about rehabilitation or solving social problems.

  • Respond to this video... Great video, Jacque has found himself another believer.

  • @grubernick great stuff

thanks for that and the vid

  • Great stuff.

  • to StellarLove66: I agree, we simply need to talk to the people or make them find these information on their own. I have already put a few stickers around my town.

Btw. great video, Jacques being very wise once again :-)

  • His lectures would be wonderfully useful in our school system.... how to get these talks in there with the youth to get things going is the questions... how to open the young and unindoctrinated minds up to the possibilities of our world; not let them be limited by the straight-jacket society puts on them from an early age??? How??? Join The Zeitgeist Movement... a local chapter in your area or start one... find out more about what the real story is with The Venus Project...

  • This is fantastic! This is really well-edited, concise and an excellent and clear presentation of his ideas in a short period of time. I really like the quotes and music too! :D

  • Is the full lecture uploaded somewhere?

  • @volunteersimplicity

not yet - the full lecture will be available at zeitgeist-movement(at) - although this video will be done by somebody else. I'll put another one of these together, where he speaks about children's education, the origin of jealousy etc.

  • @grubernick hey guys. this is great work and i'm excited for the rest of it to become available. i would also happily upload/host the full version once it's ready. i have an old directors account with no limitations of size or length. and showcase clips on the show Zeitgeist Live.

  • @tysoneberly - sure, brightgeist is gonna do the long one. Just contact him plz.
