Optical illusion. You can't really see his arm against the black sweater...ur just seeing his left side. He's rotating his arm. In his (and his dads) video, they talk to this point exactly and clearly show that he does not cock his wrist...he plays with dead hands along the toe line then "lifts" (trade mark of their swing technique). At speed it def looks like cocking though. Only commented cuz his father made it a point to say that commentators have it wrong when they say he's cocking.
James, a few highly ranked instructors advocate an early wrist set (Mac O'grady and David Ledbetter among them). For golfers with an inside takeaway, this helps to keep the clubshaft on plane instead of getting too flat. That will prevent them from having to reroute the club in transition.
You wouldn't necessarily take a spear that you wanted to shove in the ground back to parallel either. He is fully loaded, look at the angle differential between shaft and forearm, nothing but stored energy that will release itself due to physics and anatomical motion.
Actually I dont think that is dj swinging..That is a full 90degree shoulder turn..Have a look at his other swings on the net..

@Cookie4800z it's definitely there. the club shaft moves to 7:30 before his hands and arms start moving.
this is due to the early wrist set takeaway

Beautiful swing with great balance and stays behind the ball. Almost reminds me of Ken Venturi in a way...

DJ presets the wrists before turning his upper body, which seems a little different from what Don his father and coach says. Can you Explain please?
