Well, as Tim Owens Borther In law, I am quite offended by the comment that abominae1 made as stated "As with any Owens or Halford fan you have to wonder if they are gay..." I can assure you that Tim Owens is not gay, however, Rob Halford is. With regard to the battle over who sings better, I just have to say that they are both tremendous singers and both are awesome individuals that I hope we are blessed to have for a long time running. They truly have great voices to share with the world.

Barlow sings higher, he's more powerful and he's less pitchy the Owens. Even on songs that were recorded by Owens. Ripper sounds great on the recorded version of this song, but he damn sure ain't in Matt Barlow's league.

Iced Earth is one of my favorite bands, even when they had Owens, so what ? I prefer Matt's style of vocals for Iced Earth, I understand that not everyone does, and I respect their opinion now.
