@stupidintellect90 Earlier in the film Elizabeth tells Amanda that she has only told the story of Netherfield being let to Lady Ambrosia. Amanda assumes she was speaking about a person - not a domestic animal. Hence it is quite surprising that Lady Ambrosia should have confided in Amanda.
