  • Anyone has any pointers on how to get a job there?

  • i love norway

  • This industry offers many jobs, now and in the future. In some cases decommissioning a rig can be more work than building it.

  • @schizoidchimp one more thing. Sweeden would PROBABLY help uss.

  • @schizoidchimp I know that as well. I AM Norwegian (and Russian and Finnish) Sorry for bad english

  • @SovietLenin1 Norway owns half of NATO. Most of NATO is controlled by Norway because Norway is the country that funds NATO most. However, NATO is a tool to gain OIL and power nothing else

  • @Alexanderstuve du må være norsk nasjonalist.

  • miss the names on the rigs.. :(

  • @00sabare00 There could be a few mistaks, but I think : nr. 1 Oseberg C nr. 2: Sleipner A nr. 3, 4 & 5: Grane nr. 6: Gullfaks A nr. 7: Gullfaks B nr. 8: Gullfaks C nr. 9: Heidrun nr. 10: Heimdal nr. 11: Jotun B nr. 12 & 13: Njord nr. 14: Oseberg South nr. 15: Oseberg A, B & D nr. 16: Sleipner A, R & T nr. 17 & 18: Statfjord B nr. 19: Troll C nr. 20: Troll A nr. 21: Troll B
  • @Alexanderstuve

Fuck the E.U. Just a bunch of crap.... Spain, Greece, Portugal and so on... No financial control......

  • @emarpemar not to mention bulgaria, romania, hungary

  • @emarpemar You mentioned them... And thats all that is to it... When you said "and so on" well you mentioned the ONLY countries with financial problems >.>

  • thanks for the great video, *thumbsup*

  • in some years i will be working on one of those :)

  • which one is it at 0.33? im sure you can see that one in the distance standing on the brent alpha and looking towards the delta, you see a huge mother of a platform. its looks just like that one.

  • It's the Gullfaks A platform.. And yeah, it is most likely the platform you see from the Brent oilfield :) It's huge!

  • @emarpemar yea i was on the aplha and the norwegian one was miles away but it was bigger than ones that were closer.

  • not if you work with an agent ha ha ha. T/Ocean pays me $10600 /months as a jack up driller west africa, and now i am w/o a job ha ha ha. agent offer me $6000 north sea recently

  • The oilworkers these days are pussies.

The real heroes are the people who work on the supplyboats and anchorhandlers that is supplying and moving these rigs all year around in the harsh seas of the North sea.

  • what do u know cunt

  • Jeg vet det fordi jeg jobber på en offshorebåt din jævla bortskjemte drittunge.Syt litt mer.

  • ey, what year are you stuck in dude?

  • 2010 and you?

  • @seawolf1451 haha lay down 7000m of pipe conventoinal 12 hours straight, see if you can hack it .... pussy

  • ha ha ha you try and survive in15- 20 meters seas for 5 days in the North sea and see if you can hack it Pussy. And besides i am talking about Norwegian oilworkers not Canadian dumbass

  • Rolig nå seawolf ;)

  • Rolig?

  • are you ok buddy. Thats more than 21000 ft of dp or may be u r mistaking or they allowed wine on your rig.

  • ilove the song..and i im proud of those people that are working at the northsea platformsss.... a thousand of aplause to those heroes=)

  • this work is hard, but you get alot of money

  • Ive been on almost all of those rigs, have not seen any real hard work yet. we are in 2010 now, its better to take 10 min extra to plan the task and do it safe than run up the stairs with 50 kg on your back. everything is automatic out there now, actually your not allowed to lift more than 25 kg.

Its good money, eared 700000 NOK last year, worked about 130 days.

People working on one rig all the time is 2 weeks out there, then they have 4 week home.

  • I wont work there because i want to work really hard, im gonna work on one of those because of the money and the spare time :)

  • @aQratNja sounds great!! Im really looking forward to my future work, but right now its studying :(

    cheers

  • working in Norway is the best, im from the uk and work all over the world on rigs, but norway is the best.

disco at the weekend, an open bar, bingo, special meals, bands flown out to the rig, stop work on xmas and new year to celebrate it, what more could you want, you could pay thousands of pounds to go to a health spa, but you still will not get better than norwegian oil and gas platforms.

  • @merlinrunner agreed!

  • great....impres

  • luktesans:

Do you really get embarrassed being a Norwegian cause of the oil we suck up?

Maybe we should do as the "Frp" (political party) tried to do when we found it?!?

All oil in this world will be extracted when the end of oil is a reality. Even Lofoten! The only hope is that someone really puts lots of money in some alternative energy. Like a car on electricity, what happened....some fucked up Americans bought it, just to destroy the idea, cause the big cooperations saw it as a treat!!

  • We got some of the biggest oil rigs ("stand alone") in the world.

  • Been there...and there...and there...and there...and there..all over except the Ecko-field...

Being offshore in the norwegian shelf is better then booking a hotel for the weekend.

The food is great!! The living quarter is like a hotel, except you have to deliver your dirty clothes, the cinema is just as an average official cinema.

I could go on and on....

  • Indeed :)

  • Some of the reasons im going to school to get to one of the riggs :)

  • love the song...

  • Chris Daughtry!! He's got new album as well.. Love this song and the pics, Thanks for sharing

  • how does the oil rigs stay there? are the oil rigs just floating there? are they attached to the sea floor?

  • bigdogITbiker:

flexible pipelines down to the floor and anchors keeps them steady. The anchors are mobile and can drive around on the floor if the platform have to move. The platform is floating.

  • Ekofisk and Oseberg forever<3

  • VIVA NORGE

  • Who is playing this song???
