  • Simply breathtaking

  • Jesper Kyd is 2nd only to Nobuo Uematsu in terms of game compositions i believe. this song envoques such emotion. brilliant.

  • @mrbennnn Im sorry but Jesper Kyd shits all over Nobuo Uematsu.

  • @Max0Inq Dude.. I really like the clothes. I just tried to write something to shit idk :p still modern society sucks.. Everyone has gotten lazy and fat. And thats just the facts. well one thing is true. the world is going downhills. more war and shit.. but i like your point. i really dont know much about italy cuz im swe but i am glad toto learn from people such as you :)

  • @AtomicBonker Atomic Bonker, what a name lol . . . Just thought I'd say ^_^

  • This music makes me feel something like a cross between love, excitement, sorrow and so on.. And also makes me realise that our modern society has been corrupted by politics, war and religion. I wish i lived under the renaissance maybe it was harder times but as well easier. Oh well Long live Jesper kyd.

  • @AtomicBonker "our modern society has been corrupted by politics, war and religion." This is an exact description of renaissance. Politics? Republic of Venice, Republic of Florence. War? Counter-Reformation wars. Religion? Mafia papacy, Savonarola's medieval revival, cuius regio, eius religio rule. Human bahavior is really the same in all times, what changes is clothes and how many people single man can kill at once.

  • @AtomicBonker For example - a genius (really genius) composer Carlo Gesualdo killed his wife and her loves (as well as his son probably) and hung them next to his palace because since he was a prince he knew nothing bad can happen to him. Eventually he gone mad and wrote some amazing madrigals sounding like they were written by Arnold Schongerg of renaissance Italy. I really advice to listen to him. But anyway, this is how justice worked back them.

  • @AtomicBonker It was JUST as corrupt as today, just in more overt ways.

  • @AtomicBonker S.S.D.D. dude

  • This causes me to make out with everything around me.

  • So Beautiful .. I love the fact that on the game i can wander around venice , looking at the gorgeous enviorment and city , while listening to this :D

  • Can someone please upload the minstrels' songs... love their songs... hate the minstrels.

  • When this game came out i thought it was perfect. brotherhood didnt live up to my expectations though and i'm worried that revelaions won't either.

  • @betrekwoman It wont live up to it /spoiler. But Brotherhood was amazing.

  • @Arkinko1 TAKE ME WITH U!!

  • when i hear this song, it's like I grow wings and start to fly.

  • Ezio! Welcome to Serenissima Republica Venezia. Let me show you around...

  • i get the goosebumps every time I listen to this

  • This theme reminds me of rosa

  • This is just magic...

  • on most games i turn off the music to make it seem more realistic ,but for ac the music is just to beautifully crafted to mute.

  • TO MICKAEL

  • @beard6 is that from that new playstation commercial?

  • @Overlord2246 yah lol

  • @Overlord2246 michael*

  • @beard6 oh yah!!=D commercial is awesome!! =)

  • sometimes when i played this game and heard this music in Venice I just stopped whatever I was doing and took a walk in the town, gave the people money, bought ammunitions (cultural stuff or whatever) and then I just sat on the bench while listening to this song until it finished

  • @MegaGumballmachine ...which shows that modern RPGs become very real. i can't imagine any other RPG where you would enjoy doing this kind of "boring" stuff! (especially wasting money ;) ) Great soundtrack, I aggree!

  • @MegaGumballmachine it is very hard to assassinate someone in this game while hearing a track that bring tears to your eyes and makes you ask, "what the fuck am i doing?" many is the time i paused at the top of a tower or cathedral in AC2 and soaked in the amazing view while this song played

  • @MegaGumballmachine same here :) ahh the memories :')

  • So. Freaking. Good.

  • Jerper Kyd you genius bastard

  • I hope this song is in Soul Calibur V for Ezio.

  • One of my favourite tracks. Something about it just completely draws you into another Utopian world.

  • out of every song in the entire Asassins creed series, this song is absolutly the best. its just so delicate and serene. I never imagined a song like this. im truly impressed

  • One of the best soundtracks ever. Jesper, you are incredible ^_^ <3

  • This soundtrack is what makes me LOVE ASSASSIN'S CREED 2 EVEN MORE, AND IT'S PART OF THE REASON AS TO WHY I CONSIDER IT THE BEST IN THE SERIES TO MY OPINION.

  • good game and song cant wait for revelation

  • Another instance of Jesper Kyd outdoing himself.

  • 1:05-1:48 the best part ... Sounds sweet, quite and beautiful...

  • More games should have music this good in it. I don't know about anyone else, but music always makes the games for me.

  • @EmoTheElephant I didn't know emo's would like such beautiful music

  • @MaleBosszz Very clever... Besides, it is my elephant that is emo, not myself...although he also quite likes this track as it's rather emotional, if you see where I'm going.

  • @EmoTheElephant You got an Elephant lol?

  • @MaleBosszz His name is Eugene.

  • @EmoTheElephant Tell Eugene to be careful with that axe.

  • @140jeff15834 ...Pink Floyd?

  • @LZROCKER100 Of course!

  • @ballrogxbeast Now that is just fantastic, thats really what I think, now by the way, which one's Pink?

  • This music chills me out so fast after killing a dozen of Templar!

  • Assassin's Creed II was probably the greatest gaming experience i ever had, Brotherhood wasn't as good as this, this just blew me away to another level man.

  • Assassins Creed series<3 i don't need porn . when i have Assassins Creed <3

  • Assassin's Creed actually got me really into things like Art History and Italian Philosophy and the Renaissance. I'm probably going to try to learn more someday.

  • @supersaiyanroy, i asked you?

  • @coolreviews101 wow thats cool :-)

my first language is german... but it's such a "strange" language -.- Italian sounds so beautiful :-)

My ancestors came from Italy but they lived 200 years ago in the north of Italy :-)

You know I want to speak italian, i want to think italian and I want to live in Italy

  • @MrDonDomenico I'm German, Irish, and Italian and I love Italia more than any country on earth!!!

  • @TheBakedFerret wow awesome :D Yeah I like being in Italy better than being in my homecountry. I don't know why but Italy has something "magic" for me. My first memory I have in my head is how I played with my Toy Car in Como when I was a child.... And when I go to Italy I fell like "Now you are at home" I love my homecountry also, but Italy has something special.... I think we could make our conversation in german?

  • @MrDonDomenico Nein!!

  • @TheBakedFerret it's okay my friend ^^ We can also talk in english I learned it 9 years, but I can't tell you one grammatic rule, I learned it with youtube and a "feeling for languages"

  • @TheBakedFerret no problem my friend^^ let's talk english ^^ I learned it 9 years but I can't tell you 1 grammatic rule, it's all about a feeling for languages ;-)

  • @MrDonDomenico I live in America and have always spoken English. I am just learning Italian and German, and can speak but can't write in these languages!! If you want to continue this conversation let's message please!!

  • Assassin's Creed 2 showed me Italy how I never saw it before. And I visited Italy every year since I was 3 years old. This year my parents allowed me to visit Venice (because of ac2)... And it was so beautiful. The next place I want to visit is Florence. And maybe I will move to the toscana. It's such a beautiful place. I started to learn italian... but can someone tell me is italian difficult to learn? When I want to speak it perfectly?

  • @MrDonDomenico I speak it almost perfectly, even though my mothertongue is french... I have italian origins and learned it during 1 single month alone in a little country of the south where I have italian family. Then I watched plenty of italian movies, series, I watched italian programs on tv and understood everything, but staying one month alone is the best move to make. Of course, I had excellent reasons to do so: I would meet my girlfriend some months later, who is Italian :) Destiny...

  • @fabri8686 NB: I didn't know i was going to meet her :D i didn't even know she existed... that's why i say... "destiny" :)

  • @fabri8686 Thats brilliant, thanks my friend :D my first language is german and I learned english with youtube^^ I can't tell you ONE single grammatic rule, I speak english with my feelings^^

And it's enough to talk with amerikans :)

I listen to italian songs (fabri fibra) I understand 80% of "in italia", and I watch often italian movies... I think I will play Assassin's Creed in italian....thanks my friend and good luck with your gf

  • @MrDonDomenico haha call me crazy but assassins creed inspired me to do several AC-excursions: because of the game ive been in the Holy Land (Acre and Jerusalem), as well as in Italy (lived a month in Venice and spent a week travelling the Toscana, of course visiting San Gimingano, Florence and Monteriggioni :)

so i guess next year its going to be Constantinople because of Revelations xD

  • @Iceberqe haha :D you're the same type of a guy like me xD I visit Venice just because of Assassin's Creed and next april I will make holidays and travel to Florence :-)

Wow San Gimigano and Venice are my favorite places in AC2 :D I think San Gimigano must be like heaven^^

Nyeh maybe I will travel to Constaninople in a few years now I want to discover Italy. It has such a beautiful language :-) thats the reason why I play ac2 now in italian xD

  • @MrDonDomenico Try to vist rome Or If the place is real then try to vist Ezio's uncle Villa

  • @kagome1ify I've visited rome in autumn 2007:) with the costa concordia.. Only one day but it was okay :D venice is for me like heaven. When you sit in the night in one of those restaurants and watch the moon above the sea....

  • @MrDonDomenico That's my dream :)

  • @kagome1ify It's totally real. Look up Monterrigioni on google.

  • Assassins creed 2 probably has the most relaxing and engaging soundtracks ever made. When your just exploring the Venice or Florence at night time, you can't help but feel like your actually experience the the positive side of the time period.

Then you kill a guard and the moment goes instantly. XD

  • FIBES FIBES FIBES FIBES all over the body the only game that literally does that

  • @Aasmund01 hahahahah if anyone believes in that bullshit then he's a dumbass, i've never heard so much bullshit in my whole life,

  • This soundtrack is just.... breathtaking 50/10 ;D

  • venice is incredible..assassin's creed in italy was a GREAT idea!

  • This was just astonishing when it played in Venice.

  • This music still is eery though despite dreamy, a lot of points in these games make me scared!

  • this song makes me have chicken skin :D

  • my favorite song in the game

  • very ghostly...

  • jesper kyd really has talent! this song suits venice so perfectly. its the city of dreams and as altair put it, the floating city. this song is so dreamy and beautiful and light. it really makes you feel like your floating. i want to visit italy cuz of this game

  • Partly, this music reminds me of the first Fable game.

  • @coolreviews101 i just want to complete this ..... the roman empire, the medieval ages ,the spanish inquisition, the plague , WW1 and WW 2 , all problems of ignorance , not yours or mine . but they couldn't see the solution exept when it was too late, times were allways horrible in Europe ,but we survived, and we remember what went on , what lead to this , america and russia ar just a couple of bullies fighting like crazy over something that has no value , they have all the territory they want

  • 1:05 - 1:48 I heard this part in my head, during my first sexual relationship.

  • @jaquesfacile O_O

  • @jaquesfacile lol

  • @jaquesfacile hahaha

  • @jaquesfacile WTF?!?!

  • @jaquesfacile wow ...such an artist u r.. :)

  • @jaquesfacile Lmao, that made my night- wait, not in that way!

  • @jaquesfacile wat

  • @jaquesfacile a true gamer!

  • @jaquesfacile LOl!!!!XD

  • @jaquesfacile if you are listening to this, chances are, you havent even had a sexual relationship XDDDD

  • @jaquesfacile

    wheels. lmfao xD

  • @jaquesfacile hmm,

  • @jaquesfacile i remember this part as i were on the house roofs :P

  • @jaquesfacile ew lol TMI

  • @jaquesfacile Someone listening to videogame music has had a sexual relationship? With an Xbox maybe? Or was it a PS3?

  • @jaquesfacile in other words you imagined it

  • @MamiyaOtaru "heard" is more poetic than "imagined" :)

  • @jaquesfacile Lucky bastardo son of puttana ... *forever alone* *tears*

  • will you decipher the OnyxCode at onxcod.com

  • They should do an assassin creed during the nazi reign era.

  • @coolreviews101 Why would you say that America sucks? Just trying to see your thinking here.

  • @eterbart europe is crazyer than america when it comes to starvation ,poverty , plagues , we start wars with no apparent reason , america fights for resources , russia fights for territory , every one else seems to have a good or at least decent reason , europe is really a third world country, filled with crazy and desperate people , thats why we have the catholic pope , the UE, NATO , we are so affraid that peace will not last , that we might start ww3 by mistake

  • @themariusnos No war in Europe has ever been started for no reason, though were over stupid things like claim to the throne of a foreign country etc

  • Am I in Venice yet? No? Replay.

  • History is interesting indeed...what a pity that in mine we never get to learn or talk etc. about the times I prefer...which are actually those in AC 1 & 2. x)

  • My favourite part of this game is how every piece, every detail suits each other in this amazing work of emotions, how that all makes one great whole, under standar with words "You don't know anything about the world around. Look with eagle eye to know, how little you know about the reality, and that what you know IS false to someone else. Now look at your hands, think about free will that still let you be the one, that may TRY to change it, decide about own fate, own mind.".

    Also, the music.

  • My name is Ezio Auditore Da Firenze and i'am Assasin

  • possibly the best game series ever created in terms of the plot and settings. the only flaw is that it is somewhat repetitive. i cant wait for revelations!

  • i love this game

  • Assassin's Creed 2 was not just a video game that you played. It was a video game that you experienced. I experienced this game from the opening scenes all the way to the end. In my mind, what made the experience even better was the Jesper Kyd's score. This track was the epitome of experience in Venice. The only other game that comes close to experience is Red Dead Redemption.

  • Agreed with all comments except that one about the Templar being greedy Assholes. While some were, there were still a number of noble men among them. The main reason why they were ordered wiped out was because the government owed them a hell of a lot of money after their help in the crusades. However, instead of paying them back, they decided to make them public enemies #1 and, abusing church power, eliminated their debt by eliminating the Templars.

However, there were some notable jackasses.

  • I would like to be a one o f the musicians hired into Ubisoft, they have stellar recording studios effects and dubs

  • Most beautiful game i've played, i think. On all levels.

  • What the fuck's up with all of these whining kids?

  • My mum hated it at first but then she started watching and getting into the story :D

  • wow, all of you guys complaining about ur parents. when i play, my mom and even sometimes my dad watch me play and tell me this game looks amazing. My mom would ask me where is this or how didi they possibly make that, she don't know much cuz she came form a poor country. anyway, just shows you how amazing this game is.

  • They say that venice's water stink now these days :(
