How to mod/download for the sims 2

Well, Im used to the sims 3 and all, and I just got the sims 2 and a few expan. packs and I have the EA Games floder but it isnt in my documents, its in program files, and Im scared to move it becuz it said that if I do move it, that it might mess my game up. So, I tried to put the mods and stuff in the program file EA thing, but it says error. Should I move the EA folder?

I don't understand... when I check in my Downloads folder, the files are not books (winrar) like yours but still in the form of a paper with a square in it (sorry if I don't know how I should call these). What should I do?

@simmiestories it won't wreck your pc but if u download something that need a certain expansion pack like... Say a car... It requires nightlife... If you don't have nightlife it will crash you game. Just delete it out of the downloads folder if it happens hope this helped!!

But for some reason when I click on something I was to download it does show it option to open or save it, it just downloads right away and I cannot find the file.

And when I am able to choose open or save, when I choose open it says it cannot be found.

@mileyworldforeva Try dragging it out of the download bar (google chrome) and drag it down to where all your programs are in the start then extract here then open documents and put it in the download folder u created and it should be good

Ok so I downloaded insimenator and the thing you have to checkmark to enable it doesn't come out...What should I do? If you want to do this with double deluxe, make a download folder in the DD folder, then just do the same thing, put the mods in that folder instead

the limit is how big your hard drive is if it has alot of memory then you should be able to get a lot of mods.

after its extracted plug in the game a box will show if you want to enable them, enable them then close out and start again it will ask every time and make sure it is enabled but if you dont close out the first it wont work
