You sound like a complete moron, are you still saying homosexuality is acceptable because of its prevalence in nature and human history? If so, you MUST admit that killing gays is also acceptable, as is plundering villages and raping and murdering all within, right? As you said, normalcy is not judged by beneficial effects.

@mongoliancarrot An Atheist isn't a belief system, it just means you don't believe in God. that's a good thing. People who believe in God can do bad things and THINK they're doing good. Like 9/11 bombers, like Bush saying God told him to go into Iraq. No Atheist would do things like that!

@warren52nz True, no atheist would use religion to justify what they were doing, but it doesn't excuse them from doing stupid things. I find religion to be mostly a scapegoat for peoples faults. They use it to grab power, to be greedy and to outpour their hatred. At the end of the day, you'd probably find their beliefs weren't even sincere. I doubt Stalin believed in true communism, only power, or Harold Camping believes the worlds ending. Don't blame religion, blame the people responsible.
