FYI: Most fungal species are essentially all male, but different marker proteins allow cytoplasmically equal gametes (sperm) to fuse with each other. As such, hyphae come in + and - strains depending what marker proteins they have. Not going into the face and the eating thing, the point is that there are no female mushrooms. I just thought I should throw this out there.
