There is nothing worse than a session musician playing a 30 year old mega-hit and NOT BOTHERING TO LISTEN TO THE ORIGINAL RECORDING. There is a reason this was a hit - the original musicians rocked. BUY THE CD AND L I S T E N TO IT FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!!!! The drums made the original song. Same with the lame guitar here. This is painful. Steve Miller rocks but these guys need to check out what the song sounds like !!!

Just saw him and his band at Macmenamins in Portland OR. They never stop kicking ass. That Keyboardist he has there is a fucking wizard. He has a new backing and co-lead vocalist, he is an old black guy who is probably the grooviest dude I've ever seen. He took shit from the crowd and signed it when I saw him too. Steve Miller got popular in the same way Phish did, by touring a lot and gaining a cult following rather than record sales. The Sex Pistols declined their induction into the Hall of Fame refering to it as a "Piss Stain". Now that is some badass shit!
