However, Edie Argos remains a talented lyricist, with a particular skill for cutting satire and wit, and Alex Turner is, when lyrics are concerned, more of a love/hate figure. Willie Nelson, believe it or not, has released 27 albums since 1990. Granted, some are jazz instrumentals, but his power with words has not waned when he chooses to use them.

@lavenderboii Please don't mention Connor Oberst as being better he is a great singer/song writer I've watched him mature as a writer living here in Omaha along with other Saddle Creek bands. Doherty is more of a beautiful Romantic writer who tends to not let the bitterness of the world destroy his writing. I don't really ever seen Doherty given in to his hate when writing. Connor can be quite bitter in a lot of his songs since the days of Commander Venus(his first band).

@lavenderboii Nick Cave I will agree with as being an equal writer but then again give Donerty as much time to write as Cave has had and I am sure you will be impressed. Nick Cave didn't start writing amazingly great right out of the barrel it took time to matriculate. Maynard is a great writer too but in a different way than Doherty. Doherty and Ian Curtis are two of my favorite writers they are equal in my opinion. The writers you did mention however all good. Opinion is Opinion it is as that.
