  • This is methodist christianity

  • As someone in a worship band myself.it should about Jesus and not about us wen we are up there.that's it

  • absolutely brilliant...... as a singer, I ALWAYS think long and hard about the words I am singing while at a church service. I am there to praise His holy name (but I can also do that the other 6 days of the week) ;]

  • God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.”

    ~John 4:24

  • Wrong worship is an appropiate title for the parody as well as the intention of contemporary 'worship'.

  • Classic. Pure gold. Had me cracking up. Whats funny is that I was one of those holier than thou people until the Lord smacked me across the face with his grace. Can't fake it with the Guy, why bother.

  • Amen!

  • 142 people didn't get the message

  • @ChannelZach 142 people are doing exactly what this message is about :)

  • @barber12345 glad someone finally understood its meaning!! you're right, it's a healthy reminder to come back to the heart of worship, cos its all about Jesus.

  • It amazes me that people have misunderstood this at all. My wife and I lead music and I find myself starting to think this way from time to time. It's a parody to expose hypocrisy that exists everywhere. This video is a reality check for singers, musicians, and congregation alike. It isn't about warm fuzzies or how good we did or didn't sound, or whether the sound system was perfect. It's about God and His majesty. "Heart of Worship" expresses how we should humble ourselves and make it "All abo

  • i wonder if there was anyone in the crowd actually singing along or had their hands up lol

  • love these type videos!

  • It may be comical, but it is very true! Lord have mercy on us.

  • lol ~

"Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:" Isaiah 29:13 ~

May The LORD Have Mercy ~

"It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.

They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness." Lamentations 3:22-23 ~

    Amen~!

  • It is not right to sing praise to mock people. The praise is to lift his name on high. Shame on you, First orlando. You tried to be Smart and Funny, but this is definitely not a way to do it.

  • @kejong84 They're not mocking people, they're just showing what really goes on during worship nowadays. Yes, praise is to lift His name on high and nothing else, that's the point this video is trying to make. I think this is a nice way to open the eyes of God's people who actually think these things during worship, because we can enjoy it because it's funny, and at the same time realize what we might have been doing wrong. Not trying to attack you or anything, just clearing things up. Blessings!

  • Comment removed

  • @kejong84 Your certainly RIGHT!

  • @kejong84 I THOUGHT THE SAME THING...THESE MELODIES CAME FROM INSPIRATION, NOW THEY ARE USED IN A JOKE? THE FEMALE SINGER HAS MATCHING CLOTHES AND EYE SHADOW...HOW IRONIC

  • @Hyacinth600 The point is that she isn't infatuated with her clothes and eye shadow though.

  • I could sing of your love on sunday, but the feeling is gone by monday.....

Lord, set us free from the bondage of self-centrality into the deep acknowledgement of true freedom - the freedom to overcome our interests

  • "Praise me! hallelujah"

  • Okay being that we do not see what happened prior to this I cannot say that this is Bad Worship. But what the song they sing does describe bad worship and false Christianity. And by the laughs and chuckles from the performers and the audience in the background, I can say that it is an accurate hypothesis to say that these men are not saying this is what they do but merely mocking what alot of people do in todays world.

  • Oops my apologies It's Louie not Louise.

  • I thought the same thing @ Louise they could of set an example another way.

  • LOL so EPIC xDDDDDDDDDDD

  • I know this isn't the point of the video... But that lady is AMAZING!

  • Totally hits home.

  • That is so spot on! I know I'm guilty of this too.

  • @rockman0809 we all are, anyone who says otherwise is a liar. The problem with the church isn't that people feel this way, but that no one is willing to be straight forward and just flat out say "I'm not feeling much like loving God or people today!" We'll get ridiculed. If we actually let others know that we feel this way God will respect us more and we can be helped! Good Christians will always lift up those who need it, and NEVER drag them down!

  • sadly true...

  • @LouieGanSayatao They aren't mocking the gospel, just inch deep American Christianity.

  • Hahahaha! Hilarious! You did a great job. Sadly this really happens.

  • Only God knows our hears, He's the only One that can judge us.

  • Keep judging friends, and disobeying one of the teachings of Christ.

  • I couldnt describe this any better but i cant lecture because to be real sometimes i feel like i do this but not intentionally. Ya feel me..

  • It is funny but that is what hapen in churches for real. Sunday Morning Holy Ghost, and monday we are back to the same thing; jus going thru the motion. It hurts wen this happens.

  • who is that lady?! she is pretty much amazing! so is her hair.

  • lol...feeling really guilty.soooo true.

  • Very touching. This is shouting the change that needs to be made.

  • @bhickman6 you say it the right: the followers of God made a mess, however it is therefore not God but them that should be mocked. It is like Adrian plass wrote in a book of his: It is difficult to turn away from a faith when the founder of it is walking right beside you shaking his head at the same things you are shaking your head at. humans are not perfect they make mistakes, Christians just as much as anyone else. If you only look at what people are messing up, you miss who God really is

  • emmaleighapplesauce

It's "I stand amazed in the presence of Jesus the Nazarene"

  • what is the name of the first song that the girl sings the "I stand amazed at my hairdo"...does anyone know the real name of that song??

  • This pretty much sums up why I decided to return to my Catholic roots and get things straight. I don't want to go to a rock concert on Sunday, but rather approach God with Love and Reverence. Granted I'm nowhere near perfect but I refuse to sing these songs of intimacy and feel like I've been to my senior prom then walk out the door and face reality of the world.

  • On viewing this the lost mock, the dead laugh, but some weep.

  • Hahah! True true true....I love like this.

  • God deserves to be mocked! Just look at what his followers have caused/created. Just look around.

  • funny love it

  • Ow.

  • LORD have mercy on us, we are no different than the Hebrews after 250 years of receiving their promised land, we received the US almost that long. Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance. If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal them

  • It's tragic and sad.

  • This is the problem I have with a lot of big meetings. It´s so big and flashy, and everything is focused on the music instead of god. This parody is AWESOME!

  • our pastor played this for us in the service

  • There seems to be confusion with people. These people are christians and are at church. They are not making fun of christians. But they are showing the truth of some of the people who go to church. not all christians are "christians". Its a title that some people think makes them sound better. But they go and sing songs, but it doesnt sink it really with their heart. They are just singing words. And whats funny is that there are alot of "christians" who only go to church on Christmas and Easter.

  • funny how people will say the church is full of hypocrites like it's something that isn't known. Yes, the church is full of hypocrites... and it is open for more.

  • it is true.. i dont talk much.. but it is true..

  • This kind of video should be banned. It's like they're mocking God.

  • @Istiian - no it's not mocking God. This video is just a clip of what the pastor wanted to preach on - worship. You'll be surprised how true this is that we can just give lip service to God but not mean it with all of our hearts.

  • @Istiian they aren't mocking God...

  • @Istiian Wow, dense much? They're not mocking God, they're mocking people who are hypocrites.

The old quote I heard once best describes this amazing video: "Christians don't tell lies. They go to church... and sing them."

How many times do we sing, "Lord, I will give you my all," and go home and live completely for ourselves the next six days?

It's satirical parody, pointing out the follies of man, with the intention of helping them grow and mature.

  • @DiJohnny18 So true. I'm certainly not perfect.

  • @DiJohnny18 wow, so true....

  • @DiJohnny18 that is why people people who call that themselves Christians only go church to show themselves. They are not telling God that they love him and they dont give u themselves to God all the way. They do it for people just to see them. I not a hater but I currently DISLIKE people who go hyst to show themselves to toerhs and how great they sing and worship God. Same thing goes around facebook. People just want to show how Christian they are writing verses from the Bible.

  • @DiJohnny18 The problem you described is actually rooted in many deep problems contemporary worship inherently has.

  • i swear the guitarist looks like steve carell.

  • I found this hilarious, being in a praise band :) people, have some humor.

  • @Politoed101

    He kinda does

  • Havent you guys heard the saying "Dont Hate Appreciate? "

  • Good point.

  • This video depicts reality on some!

  • Are these guys Christians or just making fun of them?

  • @clixwerk there showing how some christians act when they go to church

  • This is such an accurate representation of what's going on today! If you're going to give yourself to Jesus, why not give him your all? Because it's an amazing place to be!

I love what these people did!

  • @divagirl4283 That is so true, i fully agree with you

  • @divagirl4283 Yes, all worship at the feet of the well dressed charlatans. They're hearts lust for your money, and they demand your subservience, they don't believe the words they teach, but they are there to indoctrinate fools like you, so give them your all.

  • are they trying to make a point???

  • @saunei Yes. I was at this service. It was a skit. The service was about how some people don't focus on worshipping God, they sometimes get side tracked, worrying about thier hair, and have to have the right music and so on. The pastor was telling us to not focus on other things, to focus on God.

  • I need to meet this lady, she completely blows me away!!!

  • This is bloody amazing. It's refreshing to see Christians not only able to see themselves honestly, but (rather than hiding their shame) gently mocking their own attitudes in the hope of learning and growing. I love it.

  • It's funny but I felt my Christian life began to grow since I stopped attending Sunday services. It was then that I had to seriously look at my self and where I was going and from that point my Christianity started to grow. I'm a much stronger Christian now and have overcome many issues that I battled with for years. The truth will set you free.

  • @kiwiavi Church is a place where all christians should go

  • @trmerciful We are all part of the Church. A building is just be meeting place to go. I say that the Church Buildings these days are probably in the same state the Synagogues were before Jesus arrived. I have to ask, what issues are you working on and how do you go about fixing it ? Jesus is the answer but not the process. We are all incorrectly programmed during out youth. We are blind to this. Finding material to read and reprogramming ourselves, or finding the truth will set you free.

  • There are two sides...the lord and the evil...this is just another work of the latter. God bless this people.

  • @adrallan dont take this seriously - it's just a parody. this is basically what a lot of church-goers do. they just go to church and sing praises but they don't really mean it.

  • @xavierxxaj Thats not true Jesus died for you and me i got saved when i was 6 it was entirely Gods doing God saved you all you have to do is ask

  • @trmerciful i know but the person said this was the work of evil -.-

this is just a parody for us to open up our eyes and allow us to sing with more meaning than just sing lyrics that we dont care about... b/c its so easy to go to church every sunday and sing the same songs but if we dont mean it we might as well not sing it...

  • This is so true! Especially the first bit about how we only worship on Sunday and that will last us a whole week, it shouldn't! We should be worshiping God everyday because of the goodness he has done throughout our lives, like Casting Crowns sing: "I will praise you in this storm."

  • I think this is soooo funny but sooo true. Let your worship be FOR REAL!!!

  • The church ought to stick to singing the Psalms.

  • I stand in the light of this TRUTH, that we all must come to KNOW that we're in need of being saved EVERY DAY, bc we are all HUMAN and cannot do it without GOD's help.

....otherwise we ALL have and will find ourselves singing these words in our heart! and we will tell ourselves we are doing just fine. How seriously heartbreaking. This song reminds you that you do need to GO AFTER GOD WITH ALL OF YOUR HEART, AND SURRENDER EVERY PIECE OF YOURSELF!

  • Taking primate: read a book called "case for a creator". It gives a lot of scientific evidence for God. In fact, in the book, a lot of reputable scientists give a lot of scientific evidence for their belief in not just a creator, but the God of the Bible.

  • this video is a great representation of what we all do in every of our lives - hypocrisy and taking things for granted what we most need/believe in

  • It's great. I stand convicted.

  • No lyrics?

  • There just haveing fun here people.lighten up they are tell people on how we can easly get off god and more on us wen are infront the people in church and it not about us it about god

  • People are so retarded, thinking this is serious

  • Well if you try to live like your god, then why aren't you out killing ze jews! Or just killing people because they don't agree with you.

  • @nolanbyeee Killing ze jews?!?!? Our God became a Jew - Jesus. Why should we kill the people who gave us the Bible and the Saviour?

  • Revelation 2: 4-5 But I have this against you, church of Ephesus that you have abandoned the love your had at first. Remember then from what you have fallen repent and do the works you did at first.

  • so true....

  • true.

  • Omg, this song is just amazing.... This is really what the world is probably thinking when they sing songs of worship.

  • I think this is a joke... right?

  • @epz10704 watch the sermon. This bit is just a 'sermon illustration' if you wish :o)

  • Too true.

You guys remind me of Keith Green & Larry Norman

God bless you every day ...not just Sunday!

  • @jimjanable-- Or we can't find a church that is even close to our beliefs. You see, my family and I believe in the Bible and all that it says. We had to move for work. Once we got to North Dakota and started looking for a church we quickly realized that a great deal of the churches in our area teach from 3 "summaries" of the Bible rather than the Bible itself. Because of this and that I believe my children should be taught what the Bible says, we do not attend and do studies at home.

  • @nikkisomebody No church is perfect and I have never found one where everyone believes exactly the same. However, I do find that a bible believing church can edify me and my family and bring about relationships that give healthy underpinnings to our relationship with Christ. All Christian families should do as you do - study at home. However we do miss certain aspects of fellowship when we remove ourselves from consistently worshiping with others. You could be a wonderful blessings to a church.

  • When we watch this, do we think of the will of God, or do we think what isn't the will of God?

God is mightier than hypocrisy, God is mightier than the making fun of hypocrites. He holds them to their hearts, and not to their appearance. God never competed with idols by making an idol. Real worship is the best defeat of false worship, and they think they can change(some of) that with a hollywood set on a church stage? The heart of God is with the little ones. That's how someone finds worship.

  • lol, someone stop that baby from crying right now!

  • Hilarious! The purpose behind this is absolutely GENIUS!!!

  • @ MsRedbird78, The name of the song she sang is "I stand Amazed in the presence" it's and old hymn. Sorry for the delay, I was attempting to post.

  • I find the comments interesting...the term "hypocrites" seems to be a theme of people who don't attend a local fellowship anywhere. It's pride that will not allow us to acknowledge that we all struggle with hypocritical attitudes & actions at times. In fact, isn't that what the gathering of believers is for...to bring healing and teaching that assists us to cast off worldly attitudes and embrace Christian values? Most who have deserted church attendance have unresolved hurt in their lives.

  • @jimjanable This where we are headed in this instant satisfaction sociewty. We can fill a stadium cheering loudly for our favorite team, when many can't sit still for an hour of teaching and worship. To many pulpit pimps allowing Gods word to be prostituted for their own gain. One day they will be held accounatable for not only theirselves but for those they led astray.

  • @jimjanable Maybe most of the people who have deserted their church turned to atheism, and decided to do something constructive and worthwhile on their sundays.

  • @modnarbnoj It sounds like a scab has been pulled off of a wound. I'm not sure there is such a thing as a true atheist. We all worship something. Possibly even ourselves? I will have no other gods...but me?

  • @jimjanable Well said.

  • what is the real song that she is sing to about I stand amazed at my hairdo?

  • @MsRedbird78 never mind I found it.

  • So true today, we only act like we don't lie but instead we sing them all morning long on Sunday.

  • I don't believe in god but this is F-ing HILARIOUS

  • @trumpetSL08

So sad :( I will pray for you. God does exist and His Son the true Living God, Jesus Christ. He is my Lord and I know it. I hate that you're missing out on the wonderful blessing of having Him in your life. My prayer is that you know Him one day :)

  • LOL

  • who is the girl singing here? She has a really great voice! Does she sing any other songs???

  • I THINK YOU SHOULD OF USED OTHER SONGS INSTEAD OF CHURCH MUSIC AND CHANGE THE POWER OF THE SON.. BUT GOD WILL BE THE JUDGE OF IT.....2THUMBS DOWN FOR ME....

  • @fredddielopez

They're are trying to make a point......we make it all about "ME ME ME" when it should be about "HIM HIM HIM"

  • THIS IS GREAT... THIS WAS ME 4 YEARS AGO

  • Idk whether to laugh or cry.. lol

  • @Farore36 cry

  • Hahahahaha this is so funny!!! And sadly has some truth in it:)

  • Sharing this with the Atheist community. We've been saying this about you faith monkeys for years!

  • @talkingprimate Yep, Christians are not perfect. Only FALSE Christians claim they are perfect. The rest of us admit our imperfection and believe in the Perfect Lord Jesus and are saved by his sacrifce. Then we do our best to imitate his perfect life.

  • @florinmoc So you've come to bring a sword then, and hate your family? Yes... It's in there...

  • @talkingprimate This is what apostle Peter says about apostle Paul's writings: "His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people DISTORT, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction." (2 Pet 3:16)

  • @florinmoc That's very convenient that that verse is in the bible. When is any believer going to pony up the scientific evidence of a God or Gods? Never? Yes, never. Why do you think that is?

You can't even prove that the bible is the inerrant word of God! All you have is faith. And faith is belief without evidence. So if you don't value evidence, well, you suffer from delusion. It's pretty cut an dry...

  • @talkingprimate Tell me, Talking Primate, the law of non-contradiction, where did it come from? For example it is impossbile for these statements "The tree exists" and "The tree does not exist" to be true at the same time.

So, the law of non-contradiction: is it a category of our mind or is it an attribute of the natural world?

  • @talkingprimate --All you have is faith.--

If God does not exist, then I can believe whatever I want right? If we ar just "talking primates" what's the problem if one believes in God and one doesn't? Life has no meaning, and we invent meaning, right?

    --suffer from delusion--

Again, what's the problem if "talking primates" suffer from delusion?

--So if you don't value evidence, well, you suffer from delusion--

How about discussing this subject AFTER we die? :o)

  • @MsMeee2 If you don't go to church because of hypocrites then why don't you be the change.

  • @ayo294 : MsMeee2 IS being the change. Instead of putting up with hypocrisy, she's not going at all. And that's the prevalent attitude these days. The church is dying, it isn't relevant to people like MsMeee2 or me, so we're speaking with our feet. If you want to keep the church alive, then you can try to change it, and good luck.

  • @link090909 How are you being the change if you are avoiding the people who need an impact? And the church isn't dying. The church is the body of believers who follow Christ, ACTIVELY. That is the church that I'm a part of, and this song calls out those who think they're saved by getting their daily dose of Jesus. If you're really a Christian, it's not a daily dose. It's a lifestyle.

  • @ayo294 if you want me to dig up statistical support, I will. however, the church is dying and by that I specifically mean church membership in America is declining. when a couple million people leave the church every year, that makes a statement and that changes things. when people like MsMeee2 and myself become disillusioned, that should be sending a message to you: you "Real Christians" are not doing a good job reaching out to the rest of us. the church is irrelevant

  • Thank you, and thank you for offering the free download. It was a good reminder to myself and the rest of my church before worship this morning.

  • Thanks for the video. Point made.

  • @MsMeee2 - I know what is correct worship because I've read scripture and I know what it says regarding how worship must be in spirit and in truth. You can have all of the fancy lights and music and you can put on your best dress and new makeup provided that your attitude is about worshiping God in spirit and in truth. You don't like that this clip criticizes those who don't attend church regularly and only at Christmas or Easter? Do you know what the scripture says about corporate worship?

  • my fave moment is 3:20

  • @MsMeee2 - The point of this is that worship must be in spirit and in truth. In the attempt to become relevant, some churches have services that are more akin to a concert which is fine as long as it doesn't become about the music or the performance. 2 Timothy 3:16 also says that all scripture is God breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness meaning that if someone is out of line then you can correct them as long as it is done with the right motive.

  • More vibrato doesn't always sound better...

    Great video though!

  • And this is true not only of the modern church. This has been a potential downfall since the dawn of humanity.

  • This is hilarious and sad at the same time. When she sang, "I stand amazed at my hair-do", it took my mind to the last youth conference I took my group to. Walked in the bathroom, it was full of girls doing their last-minute primping on their hair, you could choke on the hairspray that filled the air. These people have captured the modern-day church's attitude wonderfully. Now if only everyone would take it to heart and make the needed changes.

  • What is that song at 1:30? I can't find it

  • @dreburch Mighty to Save

  • @dreburch Mighty to Save

  • this is so funny

  • So true. This must be exactly what the Lord hears when we just "go through the motions". The "I don't need a Savior" part of the song stirs my heart every time. May my earthly achievements NEVER remove the fact from my mind that I NEED the Savior!

  • So true!!!!

  • I can't stop laughing at this because it's so true LOL

  • such a powerful clip of what we do when we don't dismiss idolatry from our lives....whether that idol is ourselves (vanity) or the acheivements (pride) or complacency..i need to Love God MORE!!! Keep Posting! God First!

  • So true...we need help

  • wow..

  • The people gettting upset are the ones this heart check goes out to.. Jesus doesn't want your religion or harsh judgement... be open and teachable!

The part where the lady sings "Savior, I don't need a Savior.." was very convicting for me. Oh Lord empty us of our pride, laziness and self centeredness!"

  • The 3 of them are just a total joke, to me, they look like they are trying to joke around and make fun of worship songs... period...
