You can get library books for the Kindle through at least some services. Two Overdrive enabled libraries that I use have Kindle ebooks available. I live in MA and use CWMars and BPL. I am not sure about availability in other areas. Kindle library lending is a pretty new development though. I actually have a Kindle library book on my Fire right now.

Good vid. But you have to believe the Nook is superior. Critics say the screen is brighter, the video less stuttery, and the form factor a lot less generic and more pleasing.

Good video, I personally favor the kindle fire because, like the guy on the left, I have purchased a lot of amazon content and don't want to loose it becuaseof the nook tablet. I also have $70 worth in Amazon gift cards so, Kindle Fire it is! P.S. The part at the end was so funny! :)

Not sure if there was a comment here about the library access yet but you can get library books on the kindle fire. I have a few on my device and it was a planned option from amazon with no tweeks required. I would still love the Nook for my family as they love the fire already and everyone is sharing it, lol. Both devices are solid for what they offer.

Just saying, if storage is an issue, still get the Nook tablet. Roots are out now and you can then use an sd to sideload crap and get around the B&N partition (email B&N too so they will get rid of it and you won't have to do shit just to put your content on YOUR tablet).

In terms of Apps, i would say they are even. The NookTablet allows you to sideload Apps. Thats means you can get AmazonMP3 and the Kindle app on the Nook as well as the full Amazon AppStore.

I get what you guys are saying, but i can't see how 50 dollars is such a big deal when you are getting it for a gift. 50 dollars to get better specs and a wider selection of books, or 50 dollars less to get a wider selection of apps you will have to pay for anyway. Wow, your saving a lot.

You guys really break down everything so well. I've been reading websites all morning trying to decide what to get for a christmas present and it becomes really confusing so THANKS for simplifying! Besides storage/Free books/battery life, it seems like Kindle is the winner (ahem.. I am on a budget and 1 million books should keep them busy. 2 mil might be pushing it).
