  • best movie I´ve ever seen on fu**** TV.

    Sogar wenn ein Samurai plötzlich

    enthauptet wird,

sollte er noch fähig sein, eine Handlung

    mit Bestimmtheit auszuführen.

    Wird er gleich einem rachsüchtigen

    Geist und zeigt grosse Zielstrebigkeit,

so wird er trotz des abgeschnittenen

    Hauptes nicht sterben.

Peace to all Ghost Dog fans!

  • Go to Facebook and search Dojo on music pages. Completely influenced and shows respect to this movie and artist.

  • @DragonZord90 Watch this back to back with "Dead Man" (1995) Jarmusch's Spaghetti Western film in black and white starring Johnny Depp, Robert Mitchum, Gary Farmer as Nobody (the Native American guy who has a cameo in Ghost Dog). The two movies have a lot in common...

  • I loved the 90's

  • they were on original soundtrack but it was japanese version

  • @Zer0uk there is the official soundtrack, and a harder to find instrumental soundtrack

  • Comment removed

  • These songs are off the chain !!!

  • Luv that mix between Samurai Way & Hip-Hop Culture

RZA make great beat (Not only in Ghost Dog in Afro Samurai too)

  • RZA - Samurai Showdown

  • yeah found it thnks tho

  • 1 of the best forest whitacker movies &

jim jarmush is a great director

    cheers

  • Damn...Bring back the flavour...This beat killin me!

  • .!.

  • RZA

  • we have this movie and it's just awesome, and i don't mean "cool" or whatever...i mean awesome in a way that this movie have a meaning!!!!!

  • This is one of the truly underrated movies of all time. I love how it's made in the old Japanese style of movie making-beautiful and subtle then the explosion of violence only at the end. Quentin Tarantino can learn a lot from Ghost Dog....., oops, he did. He replaced the subtlety with cartoon violence and called it "Kill Bill."

  • amen

But Kill Bill is also an excellent movie, and is completely different to Ghost Dog. Jarmush has is own style and Tarantino has his.

  • Kill Bill is awesome. but totaly different yes

  • Fuck yeah thats heel true, ghost dog does big shits on tarantinos head

rza soundtrack cuts up, i love his little appearance at the end!

  • no... all wrong , tarantino is italian and is movies are all based in italian western spaghetti style, check the soundtracks and the style of filming , kill bill is one exception and they are cowboy samurais , nothing to do it this movie

  • @xpertvisions except for the fact that spaghetti westerns are based on older samurai movies and stories.

  • Spaghetti style.......be serious...

  • Magnifique film sur la solitude

  • @Carlnj74 yeah you're right man

  • @Carlnj74 The underrated movies are the ones, that you can always be sure you like em cause they worth something. No promotion,no advertising,no special effects, just talent. These are the movies that really inspire you and make you think deeper than normal, about the world or yourself.Only one word can describe such movies: Priceless.I ve seen this movie like a thousand times, and still it inspires me every single time i watch it again...

  • @Carlnj74 Did you know that the RZA also composed for kill bill? - so you are quite accurate actually.

  • @teredaqwerty Yea true: rza ode to oren ishii

  • watching this movie is good for your mind and soul, not even high right now either. ghost dog such a complex character one of my favorite movies ever now

  • Yup, totally under rated & sublimely clever.. So much depth hidden with some really clever parody and amazing direction.. I freakin love that movie with a passion.

BTW get the Jap OST & UK/US one then find the reggae tune (Armagideon time) then burn all to a CD (taking out the repeated tunes from both) and you have a WICKED soundtrack.

I often cruise with it blasting in my car pretending I just stole a Lexus with my home made scrambler lmfao ;)

This aint no ancient culture.. Sometimes it is

  • uwielbiam ten bit !

  • Ghost Dog CLASSIC QUALITY

    SICK BEAT

  • Is there secind part of the film ?

  • no, there is not

  • Comment removed

  • Most of the pop corn audience are not even aware of who Jim Jarmusch is. But that's their loss though.

I absolutely loved the movie, I wish more filmmakers were like this and I sure wish that people would expand their consciousness a little more and discover the real art and power of cinema.

  • great, great movie.

    and the soundtrack rocks too

  • I love this movie. Hip Hip Samurai.

    Amazing!

  • One of the most slept on movies and soundtracks ever produced. Much love to the Rza

  • word

  • for sure

  • RZA is da shit. This movie is pure art. a fine exaple of the difference between an independant film and the Hollywood sell out format

  • hell yeah!

    best movie ever!

  • you stupid biach

  • what is name of the song?

  • man he is a REAL samurai in our era

  • For about a month i watched this film every night. I still do some times...

  • the best film that i ever seen in my life

  • Yo Ghost dog Q&A What are they names of this 3 track beats he plays in those hot whips ?

  • his bow is his silencer , love this film def my fav for life

  • This is RZA - Samurai Shadow

  • yo RZA, peace to you my brother.

  • what is the name of song at 1:49 ?? plz tell me

  • RZA- samurai showdown

  • The whole track is Samurai Showdown by Rza (although I've also seen it on here as "raise your sword"). It seems to be cut weird though, cause up til 1:30 is like a loop of the climax, while around 1:50 is what the beginning of the song sounds like. The japanese edition of the soundtrack has all the ill shit from the movie, but it costs like $35.

  • Yeah what's the name of the track beginning at 1:49?

  • Great movie, and the second track...all I can say is wOw.

  • whats track at 1:49

  • the whole movie is like a adaptation of samurai life in the east to samurai life in the west :) i mean everything. the way music was put in this movie is too similar to old japanese samurai movies. diferent classes of people. killers, thugs, gangsters, mobsters refer to the samurai society back then :)

  • good music what is titles of this renders ??

  • Still can't understand why these tracks aren't on the original film soundtrack cd! Great movie.

  • there are two different soundtrack-cd's. one of them contains the instrumental tracks.

  • One of best films ever, I always enjoy it very much

  • great sound i love that movie

  • The RZA is SICK!!!

  • film indimenticabile di forti principi di uomini che purtroppo non ce ne sono piu , riflettere gente riflettere.

  • Phantastic

  • Good film , good sound !!

  • rza iz topz

  • yo yo yoyng lord lod raise yo' sord! can you imagin 'thing better?

  • where is the sample from on the third song?

  • I enjoyed this movie.

  • And I'm possitivebly shure that if Miles Davis were alive yet, he'd suport guys like RZA, am I the only one?

  • the second beat sample is from mile davis?

  • No, dude, I just meant that Miles did suport some hip-hop mc's and dj's before he died, and I think that Bobby Digital is one of thos guys he'd work with.

  • Man I love this beat!!!

    This is an actual masterpiece,

    this is quite artistic,

I don't see why some guys can't get it.

  • i think the second beat here and flying birds are the best rza beats made so far...

  • most definitely, all about the second drop, and flying birds is beautiful.

  • Yea i agree downloang is hella bad and atthe same time creativity in film should be better but uts no excuse to take away money from people hard work i dont thinpeopel understand how hard it is to make a good film or music .

  • this beat takes me across the universe when im high, its amazing what music can do to alter your brain chemistry, this song really braught that out in me

  • anybody know the song that comes on at the end credits?

  • It starts off with "Dead Birds" then turns into "Samurai Showdown (Raise Your Sword".

  • I think the whole thing is "Samurai Showdown (raise your sword)" and not "dead birds" + "SS (rys)". Dead birds is a different beat, a short chill one (search "dead birds ghost dog" to find it). In samurai showdown it takes these two beats you hear here, and mixes them with each other, in this they are separated.

  • nevermind, disregard my comment, i didn't realize yours was in response to someone asking about the song at the end credits

  • Move ya neck!

  • this beat is hard

  • I think that Hollywood ought to stop bitching about money because ppl downlaod from the net. Simply they should make more budget movies for everyone to collect.

By collect I don't mean download, but colletct inspiration for the creative process.

    huh ?

    :P ;)

  • no moron, if the studios arnt making money from DVD sales then they have no reason to make fucking movies, theatre attendence is at an all time low, profits are all in home video, so when faggots like you dl shit and think it doesnt hurt anyone, it does and eventually you wont have jack shit to watch

  • Oh well

  • RZA - Samurai Showdown (instrumental)

  • rofl u said lol

  • what's the name of 1st song?

  • read the little box in the top right you dumb bastard

  • you mother fukers love to send fukin hate mail go hate on sum1 else u dikkedz

  • 1:40 MONSTERBEAT

  • how can you say this movie is shit fuckin hell no open mindedness it was deep!

  • Oh Yeah, Well I Had Sex With Your Wife!

  • Lol.... that sucked.... ^^

  • you must have some kind of anal fungis. have you seen a doctor? or at least your mum.

  • See it.

  • If anyone has the full Instrumental [Japanese] version of the soundtrack, can you please give it to me!!!!

  • that movie, fearless and the last samurai are my fave movies

  • End credit music.

  • when i first saw the movie title i said to myself ... what the hell - this is some ghetto two bit bull**** the same as everyone shoots ... but - it I had nothing better to do and i watched it ... the movie is still on my hard drive... i couldn't erase it... and i still can't ... it's on my top #5 list

  • I just saw this movie like 3 months ago on video on demand at my in-laws. I had been looking everywhere at movie places for it to rent it or buy it but no one seemed to have it or if they did it was stolen or rented and never returned or lost! this movie is awesome!!! I cant remember which movie I first saw Forrest Whitaker? But he's one of my favorite actors!! This vid is 5 stars!

  • ferme ta gueule, je t'encule en français.

  • anyone who liked ghost dog should read Musashi by Eiji Yoshikawa. Awesome book about a real Japanese warrior whose principles are closely related to that of the ghost dog.

  • i might do that

  • Just a random note, it is more likely that the Ghost dogs principles are more likely related to that of Musashi, than those of mushashi to those of shadow dog...just had to say that.

  • yeah..my mistake, thanks

  • The HAGAKURE(1716)was written from JOCHO YAMAMOTO's talks(while he had became a "ronin") about his experience in a clan and the Bushido(a non-written code)...The 20th century writer Yukio MISHIMA, take this book very seriously and, finally, committed SEPPUKU...Myamoto MUSASHI was more likely to be a smart boy who wasn't respecting the code: in "the 5 wheels"(in fact, 5 bamboos of writing based on the 5 elements), he talks about his fighting experience and the foundation of his "2 swords school"

  • sum1 jus laghed cuz of his eye?..... wow. . .

  • Murder155 moron

  • allez ta gueule maintenant.

  • watch the movie asshole

  • In our modern society, where material values and social status become synonym of success,One cant understand and connect to this concept because it's a movie about Honnor, ancient ways, sacrifice and a totally different way of livin, set apart from actual society. This is why the movie is kinda underground and never went Hollywood.Because only few can identify with it.

  • The ones who iconize this movie like me and you, reach beyond the movie to fully comprehend the message behind all this, and learn a lot from it,then apply it's teachings into their lives.Peace 2 All Ghost Dog's Disciples.

  • Great song, Great Movie, thanks for posting this video.

  • yes, great song, great movie.

  • Awesome. Great movie. Great soundtrack. Too bad the soundtrack released in the states was sub par. Thanks for posting.

  • Brilliant man thanks for posting this! I've been looking for this for ages, its the instrumental part at the beginning I love the most. Its not on the ghostdog soundtrack but it was used brilliantly in the film to demonstrate his resolve when he set out for revenge. Brilliant film.

  • thanks...i love this sound

  • the last king of scotland - got an acadamy award for this film

  • wats the symbol with the three red swans?

very nice music, very nice movie as well.anyone know if this actor worked in any other movies?

i love the ice cream dude lol

  • The symbol is a Kamon that resembles the one that appears on the cover of an edition of the William Scott Wilson translation of Hagakure. I would assume that it was chosen due to Ghost Dog's connection with the pidgeons; the one on the cover of Hagakure is just several interlocked circles that resembles sign for "biohazard".

  • I thought the symbol refered to the Book of five rings, by Miyamoto Musashi, the greatest sword fighter to walk the planet. The Hagakure symbol in ghost dog has five circles in it.

  • Ah, I looked around a bit and there are editions of Hagakure that use the Kamon shown in this video for the cover - and several other Kamons as well.
