@hotklas when it was released for the box set, Pat felted the mono version had more punch the way it was mixed, i would have loved the stereo version remastered with more punch
@joeyjosephs - that would have been so easy to fix with the right software...
I like the stereo version as it is... I am 100% against pat's mixing - I like the files as the originals - his idea of extra reverb etc always falls flat...
@joeyjosephs - I and Bear Family have the idea that today's cds are archives of yesterday - rmx can be done, but in a boxed set it should be added as a bonus
@joeyjosephs - could be the unmixed masters are gone due to mgm never was a recording company, but a film company and rented studios when needed - elvis did some recordings on the film lot, for the movies - but a mixed archive copy can be made to have more oomph with the right software...
