unused / removed characters in the games code: Vice, Hwa, Takuma, a boss, Dark/Orochi(?) Ash, Mai, King, Yuri, Classic Iori, and Billy were all planned and not included. There are 7 more empty spots with no character at all. Thats a total of 17 characters gone from the final version, 10 that had made it to planning and 7 that never even made it to the data. KoF XII was originally planned to be the conclusion of the Ash saga.

1st this trailer is AWSOME but the tekken 6 atari live trailer is probably the BEST trailer i have ever seen.....(look it up)

I think its funny how ppl are comparing KOF to SF

they are both good games

yet most of the haters if not all have only just gotten on the SF bandwaggon cause of SF4 so they deem every other fighting game a clone,carbon copy, or a blatant crappy rip-off.

SNK have been around just as long as capcom

only difference ppl recognise capcom more due to on going titles such as megaman, bionic commando etc. while SNK has samurai showdown (and maybe metal slug but i never played it)

KOF, has always had something SF never did.. is epic supers, over the top action, super long cool combos, and the characters looks so powerful with their moves.. lots of explosions, makes sf4 look way too tame

The most negative thing I can say about them is that they don't seem as cohesive to the sprites and environment as they should be. 

HOWEVER, this is such a minute quandary among a FAR greater entity. The effects themselves are well animated, and the lack of cohesion is generated simply by the nature of creating a 2D game. Unlike 3D games, with polygons and bump-mapping, lighting effects can't really cast shadows. So, this considered, they did a FINE job of implementing them.

Interesting that it was previously announced for ps3 and 360 iirc and only the ps3 logo is shown here. Either sony got exclusive marketing rights or it will not be coming out on 360 (or could be a timed exclusive like VF5).
