According to Paul Russo (he's dead now), there is no law stipulated in the US constitution that says that American citizens have to pay taxes on their income to the federal government. Many people who have challenged the IRS on this matter have won in the court of law. No judge has ever ruled that forcing people to pay income taxes is constitutional. If I was Chris, I'd hire a good lawyer and challenge IRS with use of such info.

@benzagel if you use Mozilla Firefox, you can get rid of it through the add-on AdBlock Plus: Element Hiding Helper. Once you have that you need to click on the quicklist bar and it's tray while using the add-on.
